Swingers shelf life

Me and the missus were chatting the other day and just wondered, is there a shelf life to swinging as it were, we are both in our early 50's and cant imagine doing this in our 70's or 80's, too wrinkly lol, what are your thoughts?

There and to the left a bit

So long as you are both happy to carry on why should age restrict you?

One of the loveliest sights I saw in a club was a couple who must have been in their 70s or 80s who appeared in the play area with a "young man" - the husband cradled his wife while the guy very lovingly and respectfully played with her and she him - was one of those real "joy to watch" moments that re-affirmed everything I thought about this lifestyle and when it works right.

sex, fortunately, is not just for the young. Why should wrinkles stop anyone enjoying swinging?

There was a guy at the pandemonium party at Club SX... I’m pretty rubbish with ages but he must have been 70. He looked amazing in his leather and from what I saw he didn’t have a problem with performing. He was wrinkly too (as some of us are already and we all will be one day).

Long may our sexual freedom continue... not bound by age, gender, sexual orientation and everything else

all loved up

My dad was still swinging in his early 80s. And there is a couple I've spoken to once at chams were I believe he is early 90s.

I've been swinging 23 years next weekend... and don't see any reason to change

It's when others stop meeting you/us because of age..that's probably when it's time to stop.. We are in our mid 50's and still having fun..but admittedly, sometimes, we could just not be arsed.

Got talking to a very over the top drag queen one night, looked absolutely stunning in her dress and makeup.

I couldn't believe she was over 60, as she said 'it's all in the application (of the makeup) dear'. So after that, as long as there's great foundation I'm going to be around for a bit longer

Not so much my age, but I’ve been thinking this site has a shelf life in that everyone I’m interested in has been contacted with little success. Rather that lower standards, seems my time is done. Thankfully there is still the Forums!

I dont think the shelf life is based upon your age; there are some ancient swingers that are the life and soul of the party and actually get some pretty serious meets in some cases. Big shout out to the charming BobbyTupper in this regard.

I do however think that people do have a shelf life in regards to their target audience. I think that the longer you are on a site like this the less likely you are to meet going forward. This is primarily if you are seeking to meet females. If you are seeking males or couples this is less so, the shelf life is pretty long there.

But having been on the site a couple of years it seems pretty clear we won't be seeing the sort of success we have previously enjoyed any time soon.

How long to carry on swinging is personal. We have said that we will not go beyond 60 ourselves but then have seen and spoken to couples who are nearly 70.

Some very good friends of ours have just left the site after only 3 years and it has made us question our desire to continue as they were the reason we are still on here as we were going to leave when they asked us to meet them.

I turned fifty in September. I still seem to be doing ok! I doubt i’d swing as a single in another decade but I’d love to swing as a loving couple eventually!

As to when I’d stop - I’ll stop when the people I’m attracted to are no longer attracted to me - but even then I’ll still enjoy the social side of swinging for as long as I have friends on the scene!

No shelf life - everyone wants something different, interests change and there's no law that says that once you've started something that you must continue for ever, without taking breaks etc. If you want and enjoy it, others like you, then follow your interests.
