Just got a message asking if I wanted a feeder on the sole basis that I'm big! Cheeky sod! Just proves this misconception that all fat people are lazy and want nothing more than to just sit around eating all day...

I'm well aware that obesity is unhealthy; I've spent most of my teenage and adult life trying to work on it and in many cases have made it worse due to the wrong approach/deep rooted psychological issues that I won't go into right now. I'm still trying to work on it now in a healthy, maintainable way with the mentality of "this time it'll happen", but this time with the added mindset that there's no point waiting until I'm slimmer to start loving myself; there's nothing wrong with loving your body whichever stage it's at and this is something it took me years to learn. This is why I absolutely HATE the term BBW and will never react well to messages that call me that or say they 'prefer chubby girls over skinny' - firstly, EVERY body is attractive in its own right but also we are so much more than just our bodies and I don't want to be labelled by mine. I don't want to feel fetishised and like it's out of the norm to be attracted to me; like I should be someone's dirty little secret.

I don't really know what I mean to say through this post to be honest, just some Friday morning rambles. I guess I'm just reminding everyone to spread positive energy, don't judge, you don't know peoples' situations etc etc. Maybe there is someone reading this who is feeling down about their body today; to you I say "Remember to love yourself! Life is too damn short not to".

At the risk of soulding like the devil's advocate for that cheeky sod, I don't think his offer was implying you were lazy. The term 'Feeder' is used as a term for a guy who deliberately wants his girlfriend to keep constantly gaining weight. It's a fetish / couples dynamic C4 have made documeneries on.

It was still a well out of order assumption on his part to think you would be interested. Your positive attitude is very impressive OP and a great message for all those who are working towards their ideal weight

I feel that older women should be encouraged to love their bodies in the same way. So many of my friends think I shouldn't wear a bikini or should hide the signs that my body has served me well for over 60 years but why should I or any other woman be ashamed of living longer than some?

Yes I know very well what a feeder is. My point is he wouldn't have asked a skinny girl.
