I have heard of Day use hotels and was wondering if anyone knows of such a thing in the somerset/dorset area that i could use for daytime fun. I am hoping this will help enlighten me of such places. |

Different part of the country but also interested in daytime hotel use. ie how to go about booking as many don't advertise, what time you can get in etc.
Anyone who has used be interested to know how you got on - not what you got up to! |

There are a couple of good websites, dayuse.co.uk is probably the best. You can make a reservation on line and don’t pay until you check in so that’s ideal in case of unexpected meet cancellations.
I’ve used Copthorne, Village and Malmaison hotels and they are usually available from 10am until 5pm. |

"Take it you don't get any knowing glances from Reception etc or people trying to clean your room?"
Reception staff in hotels have seen it all before and your room will have been cleaned before you check in so you won’t get interrupted by chamber maids. |

Stoke area |
I have booked thru dayroom website. It's about £45 9am till 4pm or 10 till 6pm sort of time .
People book them for all sorts of reasons . I will have been travelling for 20 hours and need to take a break before completing my journey . That's my excuse anyway |

"I've used them a few times. Always been ok. Woman on reception in Manchester made a big thing of asking if we were visiting for anything nice....I think she knew lol
"
When I checked in to the Village in Warrington with a sexy friend, the girl (and she was very young) on reception said "Enjoy your day" with a twinkle in her eye |

A lot but in London, Brighton and Clacton! Couldn’t find one in Stevenage but I was in my camper so it was ok! |

Ibis do day rooms, but the cost is about the same as an overnight Travel Lodge so booking an overnight and only using it for a few hours is always an option.
Ibis is nicer though as there is room for two in the shower which is always fun.
And personally I don’t care what the receptionist thinks, they’re probably jealous |
