I'm afraid I'm no good at small talk. I try to be pleasant, but once we've established it's not going forward, I just want to leave the conversation.

Perhaps my patience level is diminishing with age!

I actively enjoy conversation. The weather, how I arrived at my destination, gardening any old subject really. It oils the social wheels.
