That normally makes them vanish. " I've had the same thing. I ask them for dates when they allegedly met me. Also had this from people rejoining fab. | |||

Quality not quantity..."One verification (hidden) suggests little quality and certainly no quantity. I’m not the one suggesting some verifications are gross. Suspect some people think a number of verifications is a lack of sexual respect and judge. To me, judging tells more about the person than the one being judged. | |||

"I know i met a couple who had just joined a week before, i was very sceptical as her pictures were absolutely amazing, but i thought well nothing to lose as they only live 3 miles away. They turned out to be very genuine, gorgeous and really good fun. So when i went to verify them i had a warning to say that my verification will be checked by admin and if i verify a fake profile ill be blocked (im assuming i got this warning as they had no previous verifications) So im assuming admin actually did these checks, dont know if it was through I.P addresses etc. But i have seen some profiles 1 being a single guy, the other being a couple, and i just know its the same person, as they are both exactly the same distance away, online at exactly same time or minutes apart, and they have only ever verified each other apart from BOTH being on the site 8months each. Makes you wonder how easy is it to create and verify a fake profile and are these verifications actually being checked by admin." That warning appears at the top of the page where you leave veris for all veris I think. It's incredibly easy to create fake profiles and a string of veris for them once you have a single veri - which is why I wouldn't rely totally on the fact someone is verified alone as an indication of how genuine they are, especially if they only have one or two veris and have them hidden. That said, having limited veris and hiding them doesn't mean someone is fake either - lots of people hide their veris for all manner of reasons, some of them very genuine. Ultimately it all comes down to using your common sense, not diving into meeting, maybe having a social meet first and various other things that all help establish how genuine someone is. | |||

" Only issue we have had is with a single woman account that messaged us. She had 4 verifications, upon checking them accounts (from all different parts of the UK) we found that each account was verified by each other and all in the space of a week or so which is really unlikely over 4 accounts. Obviously this person was fake and upon adding them to Kik wouldnt send any live camera photo to prove they was real... X | |||

" As I said, your choice, but it doesn't always mean the worst - to use another example, if someone goes UNLOS any veri they left disappears from any profile they left one for, but still counts in the summary - so someone who only had one veri and it happened to be from someone who had gone UNLOS, would appear to be hiding it when in fact it hadn't been. Ultimately people will run their profiles how they like, and as I said it's your choice whether to meet them based on how they run theirs, just think it's important not to automatically assume the worst, or *just* use veris as an indication. | |||

The same thing happened to us. We had our last profile for over a year and we had no meets. It got to the point where people started calling us fakes when we messaged them. So we deleted it and started again. Might be an idea? | |||

Actually there not hidden we just never chose to show them but same thing I suppose x" I just show the summary for privacy reasons ( mine and the women concerned) , but will publish them if a potential meet would like to see them . I don’t just use verifications as an indication, that would be naive of me. I go off many things. Although if I see all verifications hidden or they have one verification and it’s hidden, i’m going to assume something fishy is going on. It may well not be, and they may have genuine reasons for hiding them. However, after asking people about them before, I prefer not to waste my time, and would rather move onto someone else if I sense that something is off. There is so much choice on here, for many of us, if something puts me off, I’m thankfully in a position where I can stop talking to them, and find someone else who matches my wants better.  | |||

If someone has them all hidden, but is happy to publish them for a potential meet, I see no problem with that at all. I’ve asked people before & had all kinds of excuses/reasons. | |||

People just assume I'm having unprotected sex all over with everyone (not the case). I think it's a good thing to read verifications because not only does it verify the person is real if all the verifications match ish (like this person was friendly etc) you can probably guarantee they are that kind of person. As for fake verifications you can do a bit of digging and work out who has verified falsely. If you follow the trail lol. But yes it does ruin it for some people. Even people who are genuinely verified can also be time wasters. | |||
