"Would you meet a lady if they didn’t have their own transport? Would you be happy to pick them up if they were ok about it? Like if they wanted to go to a club? "
I have done this and delivered them back later. |

Yes iff you want to meet someone and they have no transport then why not even iff they do but would like a drink nothing wrong with picking them up you want to meet someone so make the effort iff your not willing to make an effort your not worth meeting iff that makes sense |

When I was a single lady I couldn’t drive, passed my test 2 years ago. I used to go to clubs regularly using public transport to get there and a taxi home, used to cost about 30 quid to get home. I also went to a couple of daytime club events, travelling over an hour each way by train!
I used to make it quite clear on my profile that I couldn’t drive but was happy to travel using public transport. Quite often, my meets would offer to pick me up and drop me off again. I also made some great friends in the club scene and they would also sometimes offer me lifts.
I never had an expectation that people would play taxi for me and I don’t think it’s fair for anyone to do so. |

"What kind of person doesn’t have they’re own transport??
I actually don’t know anyone who doesn’t.."
Not everyone can drive!
There are many people who haven’t learned or are not permitted to drive due to health conditions such as epilepsy. I didn’t pass my driving test until a week before my 42nd birthday! |

But guys above, obviously you haven't looked at their profile.
Seems a bit rich. If you're a single guy you're just being used as a taxi which is fine as long as it suits them as they don't want to meet single guys generally.
But whatever there's always someone ready to take advantage of others goodwill. Not really bothered either way. Just saying. |

Well I did on here and now we're together. She has since passed her driving test, got her own transport and drove me to the club for the first time this week.
Imagine if I'd been judgemental or put off about her not having her own transport. I would have never of met the woman I adore, love and who is also my best freind. |

I remember someone posting on the forums a few years ago about arranging a club meet with the view of staying over with the bloke. She didn't drive, he was picking her up from the station.
When he arrived he told her he had made alternative arrangements and left her there. She was miles from nowhere and ended up sleeping in the station.
Personally I'd not get into a strangers car or be so brazen to even suggest a pick up...but that's just me! |

I didn't have a license for several years after moving to the UK, now I don't have a car!
#2 Rule: don't go anywhere I can't afford to get home from on my own by taxi (or get a hotel, if need be).
(#1 Rule is to trust my gut instinct and avoid that possibility as much as possible to begin with). |

Doing favours for someone leads to a imbalance on power.
One may expect something, the other may feel obligated.
I'm theory I'd give someone a lift to a club as I'd hate to arrive alone due to anxiety.
Then comes honesty that you both might end up with other people and not see each other that night.
Risks are involved, same as meeting for a coffee. Just weigh up the rewards in your head. |

As my car has 212245 miles on the clock I think I would pushing my luck offering anyone a lift.
Another 28000 it would have traveled the moon's distance from Earth.
Otherwise I wouldn't mind giving a lady a lift.
I have done in the past, on one occaision we had some fun in a field on the way home. |

My last car had 249,000 miles on it before it died in a cloud of black smoke.
My vw had 280,000 miles 12th mot and was murdered by a passing motorist who never passed just went through the back..okay it could have been car slaughter. |

I travel by public transposition mostly.
If under 15miles I meet at a cafe or club before going to there home.
If I'm traveling 15-50miles and i will ask to meet at the bus/train station or club. I stay in hotel if needed. I never travel to there home.
If they are over 50miles i travel few times to a club or party and i stay in a hotel. I never bring anyone to my hotel until I trust them x
Iv passed my test less then 2yrs but can't afford the insurance x

I’ve always made my own way to a meet (and I don’t drive), it’s just a matter of working out the best route and thinking about home time -v- hotel. But normally plump for a hotel as hate clock watching
I wouldn’t have anyone luck me up st my home, especially first meets, it’s a privacy thing for me |

I dont have my own transport.. but i guess you dont know me so a moot point!
I have had many offers to pick me up. I rarely take them as i dont like people knowing where i live. My first meet from here got a bit stalky...
I usually make my own way to a meet... thus actually included once walking down the a2 to get to a service station hotel lol! |

This kind of person.
A) to do so I would need to go onto medication for something that really causes me no issues at all.
B) I can just about afford to pay my essential Bill's, no way on earth I could afford lessons, test, the purchase and upkeep of a car.
Madness eh?

Me. I use buses, trains and planes. I don't need a car, though I do have a driving licence.
