Up on them there hills

She is year seven and she asked me. ‘What age were you when you realised that the Poo stories had disfunction characters?

Owl is dyslexic, rabbit has OCD, eye-or was depressive. The others?

To me that would be up with GCSE level, never mind a Twelve year old.

Question is are we stopping our children being children?

Northampton Somewhere

Yes I think they grow up way too quickly these days.

On my drive home from Alton Towers with my 13 year old daughter she was talking about a particular boy in a group in the queue in front of us. Referring to him as hot and just her type!! She's called him Tyler, he's from Corby and has been thinking about him ever since apparently.

You could analyze most of kids programs....one for example in rainbow George the bear I think his name was... he'd walk around the house all day then put a coat in to go out....as my son at the time said does he walk around naked all the time...

Then into social media.

Chuffing ‘eck didn’t realise what I missed from the past, never mind the future.

She said she wished she of said her Instagram account name out loud so he could 'link her'. In my day I'd of slipped him my home number on a bit of paper. But not at 13, I was still very naive!

My fourteen birthday, was a tad embarrassing, luckily there was no internet accounts then.

It is my age, I know, just want to slow the world down.

My twelve year old daughter is physically bigger than the wife.

Still she hasn’t had the club visits we have, there is something about experience.

Got that one, with seaman stains and Rodger the cabin boy.

Think it was my lack of awareness around some classics that has actually thrown me.

Going to have to reread Snow White now.
