Go!

In places where it snows PROPERLY they'd think you were soft to wimp out after a few flakes of snow.

It does help if you have some decent tyres and know how to drive in snow though, I guess, and some of the people round here shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel when the weather is fine.

If I get an offer tonight...I'll get there, even if I have to hijack a snowplough

"were 4 mile away..so dunna know what do? "

to be serious main roads will be gritted and clear so if you can get to a main road from your house you should be fine.

Just go outside when you're there from time to time and keep an eye on the snow if it gets a lot worse then go home !

no offence, but 4 miles???

your fella should have his keys taken off him lol.

honestly, if we all decided not to go out because of a bit of snow, everyone would get bloody hungry very quickly.

400 mile round trip tomorrow to make sure you lot have pork/chicken and tukey at your local tesco.

no no, i dont want your thanks. just keep out of the way lol

Evening, night, day, evening night and morning if you pack enough clothes to go straight to work on Monday

i honestly cant believe how badly this country gets with 'extremes' of weather.

jesus, its a few flakes of snow, not like we ave 10ft snow drifts.

its because people dont understand how to drive in the bloody stuff, and it drives professional drivers mad (although i must admit it is a little easier ploughing your way through snow with 12 wheels and 40tonnes pushing you down. sound like our sex life lol)

Do you know i lived in germany for 7 years with mad snow falls and up to -20 and never ever was anything disrupted. main roads were clear at all times, everyone went to work, school was never once closed and public transport never stopped. It was the law to have winter tyres..move back to uk and the slightest sign of snow creates mayhem...do you know tesco had no white bread cus i bet people were panic buying

We were going to the club s3cr3ts tonight as they are starting their bi nights but we can't anymore. My mum was due to babysit but she lives in scarborough and we live nr newcastle. we were going to meet half way to drop off the kids but that would mean her driving over the moors, which isn't fair to ask in these conditions.

Am gutted we were looking forward to it for ages. Never mind, we'll get there on the 18th x

We get snow maybe once a year. Of course we are never prepared for it.

For one night just stay in and watch a movie. Next week the snow is history.

Crafty ones checked the weather forecast and went out last night.

We are both professional drivers.... hubby mounted a pavement this evening trying to get us to a meet. I know he wasn't at fault in the slightest.

The weather conditions are far too dangerous as we had rain then a freeze (causing ice) and then the snow.

Every car we saw out there were really struggling too.

Everyone in stoke-on-trent is stranded! no gritters have been out.Blame our goverment on putting cut backs on the council.

some people have been stuck for ore than 3 and half rs.Some folks have left there cars and bottom of streets.Limited taxi drivers as well.

Im not kidding here,to have a fag outside now ive got put me wellies on its hlaf way up my leg.

Know what you mean. I drive high performance jobs for a living and had the task of driving many times to Harrogate and back in the snow yesterday. Granted it was slower going, but I managed it. That's the difference between the north and the south, we keep going lol.....

One thing about northern swingers, they get there whatever the weather! Clubf members brave the lot, however long it takes, if they want a good night they make sure they come......
