Stolen photos WARNING

Hello all

Now my photos are not shown to just anyone.. YET I have just had a photo that I only added to here on monday show up.. and I recognise a lot of the most fabbed photos on this womans profile on x hamster..

ADmin am I allowed to put a link to this womans account so people can check for their photos as there are a lot.??

I am reporting it but we are talking photos on a highly rated site..

You can't put a link up Cali,you've done the right thing by reporting the profile so let admin do their thing

Id be messaging everyone I know just to get them to have a look as well though,incase any of their pics are on the profile as well

I have just checked and there are about 6 of mine on there.. and found loads...

Now I dont really care that my photos are on there but not on someone elses profiles..

She has albums called real uk swingers.. and the content is pretty much all off here..

This is why you really have to be careful which photos you put online for everyone to see.

Of course it's not good for them to be taken to other sites, but you "should" expect it.

It's why were careful about what type of pics to put online in public and in friends gallery.

I did think I posted it in there in the first place but it got moved..

I have messaged 6 members now whose photos I recognised.. It really is all the most fabbed.. and actually found its going back quite a while.

to be honest I only know as someone spotted one of my photos and let me know..

So thanks to them..

There are so many of photos.. for me its no biggy apart from I dislike someone else getting credit for my photos.. lol

but for some I can imagine this must be OMG.

Bit late for that now..

besides admin already inform everyone of this potentially happening in the FAQ's.

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

It's not just on xhamster, I had to report one profile on here that had lifted one of my photo's and used it as their profile pic! When I emailed them about it, they even had the sheer balls to try and tell me I was mistaken and it was from one of their meets! Like I don't recognise my own hand...some people....

im so interested in the above posts as i had pics removed from an altogether site the piks were so CALED protected but were placed in a magazine hence i didnt even get payment grrrrr hope none of ours have bin lifted x wish u al well

The sad picture stealers prefer porn pics that show a face or faces. Not surprisingly, most of the stolen pics are exactly this. I'm afraid it's the risk we take if we choose to show our faces on the public gallery.

We've found a 10 photos from our profile on x-hampster, many of which are available to friends only and have only ever been in friends. So unless the server itself has been hacked the spammer is or has been a "friend". Might help narrow things down.

I went and had a look, thankfully ours aren't on there (unsurprisingly lol). But there are two other real_uk_swingers albums on there the profile name of the person who has uploaded them is SarahSecret's

if you access the profile you can see all of the albums and check them for your photos.

Which I why I don't ever put a face pic out on public! I don't mind people seeing what I look like after a message (usually then, they run screaming..)but there are just far too many weirdos and unscrupulous shites out there for my liking...

it doesnt bother me that they are there.. I have my own profile somewhere else with face photos on..

What annoys me is someone else getting all the comments..

Luckily for us men there aren't a lot of guys' pics on there, but I think it is a pathetic loser who is doing this, so have reported them as a sign of solidarity.

Obviously if some of the pictures are from private galleries, then it begs the question of how these got out for this loser to copy them....

No, private photos don't show on the most-Fabbed listings. Anyway some of these only have single figure Fabs so it's definitely not the most Fabbed photos only being used.

Once you put photos on the internet there is no telling where they will show up. If i put photos up i do it with the knowledge that they could appear anywhere. Think its in the FAQ on here

We've registered on x-hampster and reported the user. Not much more we can do. In future we will be watermarking all our photos, Fab really should be doing this already - right across the middle! The tag they put on is far too easily cropped out.

We're also culling our friends list.

We have had pics stolen before (from other sites) that's why we put our profile name on them and edit them to render them useless to anyone else.

We have seen other members from this site and others used on a pic posting site and told them directly that their pics were being used.

Just checked the place mentioned and that album has disappeared.

We have sent a contact message requesting that the 11 photos of ours are removed asap and given the direct links to them. Have also pointed out that most of the photos have been stolen from Fab.

Dont know if its hamster as i dont go on there, can you leave comments on there? If not there is another site that people take photos from other sites and put on. I know you can leave comments on it because i know a lady (not from this site) that had some photos put on there by others and had some really nasty comments put on

I have seen my photos on sites where I haven't posted them....I don't lose sleep over things like that as there is little you can do to stop it, so no it isn't right....but it's all part of the risk of posting your photos online

Because its actually not allowed.. and if it were your photos you would soon complain..

OKAY got an email from x hamster.. saying that they are investigating the profile... and have now removed two out of the three folders.

Actually I wouldn't complain....mainly because I don't post face photos on this or any other site, therefore taking away that threat.

I wouldn't loose sleep but i would report them... the website they are hosted on is liable for any content that is held on its server and if it is stolen or in breach of copyright, they are to blame for it hence they will want to remove it asap.. i wouldn't want someone else using my boobs to get attention... its just not right! but would it stop me sleeping at night.. no... not at all.

We all understand there is a risk when you post your pictures online.. HOWEVER.. there is something that can be done when they are stolen and posted on other sites by fake people on fake profiles... and no1 should just sit back and say its ok it happens to loads of people every day..

Cali did the right thing in informing people of her find, people should be made aware that there photos could potentially be on the site... so if they so choose they can go and report it to the site that their intellectual property is on their website illegally.

x-hampster have removed all of our photos from their site at our request. In fairness to them they have done this promptly and without question informing us by email.

A simple watermark or user name will reduce the risk of them being used by others or stolen by others.

Some of the people stealing the pics make money from them, so it pays to put some kind of mark on your pics to deter them from doing so and making money from you and your private shots.

There is also a site called imagefap that is renowned for stolen pics, just type in dogging, swinging etc into their search box, it's astounding the amount of stolen pics on there.

Whilst all of us do accept that any of our pics can be stolen and posted elsewhere, it was appreciated that the OP took the time to inform other users so they were able to get their photos removed from one site at least

and then click on support at the bottom.. and it gives you the option to report the stolen content...

Ours have been completely removed from the one album that effects us. They did remove them very quickly once we reported them. The do give instructions on how to have stolen photos removed in their FAQ, we followed that procedure. You will need the individual URL for EACH photo, to get this select each photo one at a time then copy and paste the URL which appears at the top of your browser into the specific panel that shows when reporting abuse. They removed ours within 2 hours of us using this procedure....but the album still remains and still includes numerous Fab photos. PM if anyone needs further assistance.

At the bottom of the x-hampter page are links for "support" and "contact". Instructions are in support or just go to contact and select "abuse" from the drop down menu. You will need the URL of each photo - see our previous message.

This is the problem with the watermark placed on the bottom of the images by the site, it can easily be trimmed of.

I think it would be much better if a translucent watermark was straight across the middle.

i had someone put a video of me on x hamster which had been lifted from live webcam on anopther site ..the guy was in germany and the quality was terrible !!! it had me on a split screen and i wasnt really showing anything at all ..i really couldnrt see why it was lifted ...luckily a fabster saw it and told me and i wrote to x hamster ..they deleted his account

It's only half a result Cali, they have deleted his account but the photos/albums are still there. Type the album name real_uk_swingers and real_uk_swingers into search bar on xhampster and you'll find them.

Some of my private photos have ended up on xhamster under SarahSecret. These pics were not on most fabbed, so someone in my friend list must have added them. Please take at look at my friends if anyone has a common friend with me then we may find the culprit.

we got a tip off someone we know that ours and others from dogging (fab sister site) were on there and so they were. Quite an eye opener but as others have said there's very little we can do apart from blur and watermark

It's the only way to limit the use of your own personal pics.

we had one of ours nicked yesterday and we seen the couple in chat using it and friends in chat seen it on there profile to we got intouch with admin and the pic was taken off there profile ... really they should of been banned as they had a couple of profiles in the last few months just with added numbers or letters put to it......................

you'll need photoshop, go to you tube and type into it how to watermark etc and you'll get some tutorials, very good too.

instead of watermarking you can put text through your piccy as it'll still look good but will deter thieves.

Comps to xhamster, they do seem to be working on it, in reality we expected them to do nothing. Account has been removed, only one album remains with photos in it. One had been fully deleted, one is still there with photos removed....they just have one album to go. It's the one our photos were removed from.

Have cross referenced friends list with two members and we do not have a three way mutual friendship with either of the others. We have two in common with one, none with the third.

Appreciate it's a low sample but just getting a tad worried about security on Fab's servers, perhaps time we had some reassurance from Admin?
