"Being a bit thick here (must be age related) got VPN on which puts me about 200 miles away but, when I search who's near they really are who's near!! How does that work?"
Are you on your pc or your phone?
One works on your ip one works on your gps |

You can choose to disable fabs access to your gps btw but you wont be able to use whos near.
Otherwise it uses your post code |

When i popped up to allow location acess to clicked deny nkt alow.
Otherwise jist turn off whos near.
You cant have it on without also granting permission because that would be stalker heaven |
