had it too,but in my own case, i suppose its as a result of lack of sleep and proper rest. i work nights and i hardly sleep... due to the orgasm and the stress and tiredness it causes hence my reason for the headach. but since i been sleeping well and resting good... i have been okay. |

kev suffered from these...sorry your gp wasnt helpful...there proper name is cluster headaches. Too much time on a computer can cause them. Follow the recommended health and safety limits for screen time,
They do go away, and massive hugs, they seem horrible, i never felt so helpless as when kev had them |

Ive had orgasm induced migraines a few times now, with the 'thunderclap' where it feels like someone has stuck a pickaxe in the top of my head, and then I have 3 days of the headache, visual disturbance and nausea etc
Mine are nothing to do with whether Ive been using the computer or not, but being tired is definitely a factor for me, plus too many orgasms.
GPs advice was dont have orgasms when you are tired |

I don't think it's just guys who suffer from this. I used to suffer from terrible headaches just as I reached orgasm (even if I was alone!) and they continued for a couple of hours after.
I discovered that it was a lot worse if the sex was rushed or was stressful (eg if someone was in the next room, so I had to be quiet).
Since I have matured and learned to relax more, it's much better. |

I had this happen to me. An awful piercing pain on the right hand side of my head. Typical bloke I didn't go the doctors at the time, luckily it did stop after a fortnight. If it did happen again I would definitely go get it checked out. |

If they're persistent, and the pain always seems in one place then get your doctor to refer you to a migraine or chronic headache clinic for further tests and assessments. Be sure that if you have the above it will be the most painful headache in your life and probably you'll need someone to steer you towards A&E...
I've had painful and painless migraine on and off since my early 20's. Have tried all sorts of things over the years too.
Orgasm headaches - aren't they more likely to be a BP thing that just requires you to lay down for a while to allow everything to equalise again. On second thoughts what's released during orgasm constitutes a pretty big hit on the neurons, so if they're neurological they might have a threshold and need you to do something to help keep that threshold high.
Give migraleve a go, failing that ibuprofen/paracetamol combis. If heat or cold on the bit that aches does any good I'd be tempted to try that as it's non-medicinal hence you can do as much as you want rather than load up on pills...

Yes, I have. My G.P told me to drink more water, and to make sure that I had d*unk at least a litre of water in the four hours preceding sex. I took his advice and haven't had a problem since. By the way I would advise you to drink the litre a couple of hours before sex rather than half an hour before as I did the first time-we found my needing to pee during sex most inconvenient. Of course if you are into 'watersports' you might like to take this advice in the reverse order to that given, .May your passionate times henceforth be free of headaches. |

There called true coilal headaches, if you get them while having sex and post coital if you get them after sex. First time i had one thought my head was going to explode, i thought id never have sex again. Ive had about 6 in my life and only one in recent years. If i feel one building up i stop everything and take a couple of strong painkillers. Luckily ive only ever had them with someone ive been in a relationship with |

orgasmic headaches can also be heightened if you are on some antibiotics as well as this causes the neurological pathways to be altered which creates a terrible headache |

I found over the years that sex helped with those, although maybe it's just the laying down bit.. certainly when you're lost in the moment it's a decent anaesthetic...
I get them last days on end with me, it's a case of muddling on through most the time.
