Story of O had some impact, opened a door maybe..a couple of the Josephine Muntzenbacher films were interesting to but hardly life changing. Inside Desiree Cousteau and some films from the Swedish Erotica line survive in the memory lol
Love a bit of (technically well shot for its time) retro porn..funny as ya like

There and to the left a bit |
Back in my formative sexually aware years BBC2 used to show slightly more risque foreign language and art house films on a Friday night that I used to furtively watch on the black & white portable in my room with my finger hovering over the off button in case anyone came in - two that stick in my mind that had an effect on me were Belle De Jour and Women In Love, the latter with it's wrestling scene probably informing my bisexual side, amongst other things.

omfg what poster above said there
yesss "Les Valseuses" with yer man G Dippy-dippydoo? Cracker.
So many Scandi/French/Italian arthouse films were pretty "inspirational" way back in the day. I'd recommend quite a few Tinto Brass (Italian) erotica at the mo...not hard core mindya but sumptuous sumptuous sumptuous stuff..liek Mona, The Key, The Watcher (como se guarda), Salon Kitty, Paprika, Cheeky. Recommended and bound to have quite a following in here. |

Belle du Jour has always been one of my favourite films. Oddly, it wasn’t the erotic theme that got me hooked the first time I saw it, but the amazing 1960s French aesthetic. Oh, and Catherine Deneuve was very easy on the eye. |

We got taken to the cinema to see the film of 1984. We weren't even studying the book. My first full frontal nudity, I believe.
(I think that was the same English teacher who brought in a video of The Young Ones for no educational reason. He just liked it) |
