Haha, after several years living here (I'm not Mancunian) I absentmindedly smiled at a man on the tube a couple of years ago. He looked most perturbed. |

In terms of looks I don't think one's place of birth affects things in the slightest really. In terms of friendliness with strangers and being upfront about what they want then northern ladies have a marginal advantage on average, over the Southeast anyway.

People up North are generally more friendly that's a fact you only have to go on the train to London and its so different and people have less manners and are not as polite.
I think sometimes people get friendliness and sexiness mixed though you have to be friendly and smiley to be sexy in my book.

I don't think being less friendly is less polite, it's just different. Northern friendliness can also read as intrusive, not letting people get on with it, you know? |

Southerners can be more reserved, if that makes us less sexy to some then so be it. We can't be admired by everyone |

Also I think it's pretty impolite to suggest that a whole area of the country's women are less sexy, the people less friendly and not as well mannered. |

This stuff also backfires. I don't publicly say where I'm from. I occasionally get messages from people outside Manchester saying they love Manchester women because women from their area are all ugly. On a few memorable occasions, it's been something like "you and all the other Manc ladies are stunning, unlike women from (place I come from)"  |

I visit Manchester/Warrington regulary and in my opinion I think the majority of people up North are friendlier than those in London and South East.
Again it’s just my opinion but I believe it’s a matter of trust. I prefer to trust someone until they give a reason to not be trusted. Growing up round West London as a kid it used to be like that, I find that it’s still like that up North but down here it’s more of a dis trust until you’ve proved you can be trusted.
I can go in a bar alone up North and a few people will say hello or stay and chat. Down here I’ll be sitting on my own all night without even a smile or a hello.
Two more years and hopefully will be moving up there. Just need to remember to order a bacon barm not a roll.

For me there is something about the ladies from the north east, accent maybe or I'd it because its a proven thing that they are more friendly and fun??? |

There are some stunners down here and some poster children for the cause to increase genetic diversity. Main trouble with this part of the world is that there's not so many single or swinging adult professional types in the mid 20s to mid 40s demographic it's mostly undergrad students and retirees |
