How many times do you decline before blocking?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

One my bug bears is fabbers that contact me and try to "fit" into what I am looking for after I have declined and said no, or they keep nagging, maybe in the hope I will change my mind. I have a saying, once is happenstance, twice is circumstance, three times is taking the piss.

No should mean no and although there are a selection of fabbers who will accept a no straight away, I wondered how other people deal with pushy swingers.

In general terms I operate on a three strikes rule. That moves up to two in the case of pestering (trying again within a day or two, particularly if it's within an hour or minutes), or one if there's just no way (like, if their pictures show I'd never be attracted to this person).

No means no, if I get a message saying, thanks but no thanks, I thank the lady for the message and leave her alone.

Same with ladies that do not respond to my messages.

I have found that Men and TV/TS are far more persistent so I block them.

Helped me get a bit of an insight into what the ladies go through.

I particularly don't understand the messages saying "not your type then?" or "c'mon gimme a chance!" within two or three minutes of deleting their first message.

On careful contemplation over this vast expanse of time, I've changed my mind. Pleading is so goddamn sexy, I must have you.

Totally this, along with "I see you've read my message" then try and entice you with a cock pic, yeah that'll do it for sure!

If I mail someone and they don’t reply then I block them for two reasons, 1 they obviously aren’t interested and 2 it’s so I don’t mail them again by mistake

I tend to go with this rule. However, it has been known for a couple to message me on a new profile, who've previously deleted me when I messaged their old one. Some people block delete as they have too many.

I never block, and almost always reply. Only if the message is really shit with a shit profile do I delete without a reply.

I even reply to the "wanna fuck" messages with "sure, we'll be at such and such club later...come join us".... Funnily enough they never show up lol

Maybe I have way too much time on my hands

I don't either, and sometimes get them anyway. I delete, delete the second (unless it's rude), block on the third.

Second or third message blocked. If they message a second time after no response definite block. My favourite is 'its only an hour on the motorway' when I tell them there too far. If I continue that conversation it's at least 8 messages back and forth before I still block.

I had someone message me when I uploaded my first profile picture. From, let's say south of London (it was, but I'm not going to be specific). He wanted to meet me. Because of my profile picture (an upskirt one almost identical to the one I have now). I should have told him where I bought the clothes and suggested someone more local.

If it's a guy, no chances I just block them, get idiots messaging me on kik every now and again despite me having guys blocked on here.

Never been in a position to decline an invite from a woman so I can't say, but i'd probably give it 2, depends why they get rejected. If it's due to distance, there's no saying they aren't round my end in the future so there'd be no reason to block them for that alone.

I usually just block people who instantly delete my message, so I don't see them on my feed, no point when they aren't interested.

I often instantly delete messages because they're lazy and not thought through. If I were truly uninterested under any circumstances I'd block.

I usually just delete if I'm not interested. Most single men don't message again so no need to block. Couples on the other hand I find that be far more pushy. Many send several follow up messages afterwards and I do block now after the third one.

If I'm not interested nothing they say in subsequent messages will persuade me!

Whereas I might be interested if the first message is up to scratch.

Oh sure, I imagine women get a lot of "ey wanna smash" messages, I put effort into mine so I figured if they aint interested in what I say in my first message, would only annoy them if I tried again, so I dont bother.

This I dont follow surely it would invite more messages as you might of missed the first one because of volume or you could be intrested in the future. I delete messages after I've sent them but if you responed with not intrested I would block so I dont send any more.

If I get a repeat message when I’ve ether deleted or replied with a no thanks I always block.

If they can’t accept a no to a message, how can I trust them to accept no in an intimate setting?
