is there such a thing in the southwest as a swingers bar? not a pay to enter type place but a regular bar thats frequented by couples who wouldnt mind taking another couple home after a few sociable drinks? |

clubs are entirely for getting naked and playing, i reckon a swingers bar should be for couples to flirt , tease and chat before heading home or to a club! |

It sounds like you want a place like a gay bar, but for swinging couples.
Gay bars are usually subtly signed (I know some amusing stories involving people unaware of the rainbow flag and it's meaning) where the target clientele are aware, but those outside the sub-culture aren't.
So you would need a way to tell swingers that this is a swinger-friendly establishment (there are a few other threads about car stickers etc.) Perhaps lots of Pampas grass outside?
Then there is the question of what happens when a vanilla couple wander in to the nice looking bar, and are suddenly chatted up by the couples in there. Be nice to think that they might try it and like it, but I think violence may ensue.

Some clubs are "bar" based, with somewhere to move onto after flirting  |

The pub in the background on my profile pic would make an ideal meeting place for swingers. Unfortunately it closed last year and is now boarded up Boo Hoo   |

Around Four years ago we used to run a couples clubnight in the Exeter area called Two4Two.....we held it every month for 14 months in a Gay bar called 'The Vaults'.
So yes, it is possible to hold swingers social nights in bars and pubs, we only stopped doing the events when we fell out with the bar owners.

There are a number of bars that do this on mainland Europe and also the Spanish Islands especially.
Some have clubbing premises attached to them out the back that opens on the weekends or which you can pay a fee to enter, but there are several which are just bars, often owned by ex pats. People often use them before moving on to a club as a meeting point.
A few people have tried them in the UK, the problem is you really need non swinging clientele in as well to cover the running costs so its not the most attractive proposition. |
