I know this is a sex site but jesus christ how hard is it to actually have a conversation with anyone!!
We're looking for friendship within the scene and if there's any play then it's an added bonus.

I absolutely agree with the OP.
For me there has to be some cerebral connection as well as physical - it can be difficult to find people willing to respond in more than single syllables...
Sadly I don't venture to Sheffield much... but happy to chat...
They are out there... somewhere... keep trying....

I will be honest I get tongue tied on here and sometimes find it difficult in chat rooms and don’t know what to say But I find it easier to chat f2f. Strange but true. But will be polite and not pushy but if you’re gentle with me I warm up |

We have put alot of time and effort cultivating friendships on here and have made great fun friends.
But it takes alot of time and energy to find those that love the whole friendship as well as the fun side of things.
We have friends up and down the country now that swing and it's great x |

I would like to think that I can hold a decent conversation. It's good to find others who can do the same. I enjoy the company of people who are intelligent and have a good snse of humour. I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a lot, sadly I have met some others who I can't say the same of. Hey ho, there you go, part of the risk of the scene. |

I have techie friend, always a useful person to know. One of his favourite responses is RTFM, (Read The Fucking Manual). We have played together in the past and I discussed the problem you describe. He suggested the letters RTFP, Read The Fucking Profile, I find it has worked for me. |

some of us are not so confident in face to face encounters or chat i am nearly 60 but find such things awkward and difficult especially to the opposite sex i am looking for friends though (hi from st.leonards btw) |

I understand that it can be awkward. In general though the people who contact us asking if we fancy a chat actually mean do we fancy meeting them next week after asking how we are twice  . |

You have a good point, I get LOADS of "Hi, can we meet" and " will you cum to my house now" type of messages . I will never meet without plenty of chat and a vanilla meet for a coffee.
And i can only assume that you get LOADS more requests than me x x |

I have made a good friend on Fab with no plans to have a meet but we still have a lot of fun with our banter.

I love to chat. Online or in person can both be great if both people are making the effort.
