We tried to contact them several times via their web site, including on the mobile number that was left. They announced their opening as we were going to print so we were trying to get as much info as possible to include them.
We never had any luck with the number and it went totally dead a few months ago.
The last thing their web site stressed was that they were having issues with the local council and they were delayed, but assuring people it was still going ahead.
It seems now its not happening.
Personally we think the owners had a lucky escape. Blackpool already has a good number of clubs and it doesn't really need another one and if someone was to open one, why offer something that's less than is already there? It always seemed odd to us. We do wonder if there weren't ulterior motives in announcing the opening of the club, rather than ever opening at all.
There were never any pictures of the venue, which anyone in their right mind would get up on their site straight away. We would be very surprised now if it does see the light of day, but will stand corrected if and when that happens. |
