My first weekender coming up next weekend. I've heard they're an absolute blast so really looking forward to it.
Anyone going or have been before who can offer any top tips?

Not been to the 80s one but have been to the Madness one a number of times - if it's anything like that you'll have a blast - biggest problem usually is finding the right bar to be in at the right time to catch the act you want to see so check the schedule and plan ahead if there are specific bands you want to see.
If you haven't already got it can recommend taking the food plan - it ensures you eat and the food's not bad, and is reasonably priced.
Security are pretty hot on paraletic d*unkenness so don't go overboard.
Just go and have fun is the main advice - everyone is there for a good time and people are really friendly - especially if you've made an effort on the fancy dress night if there is one. |

Thanks for the words of advice.
We've definitely got the fancy dress covered. Karate kid and the cobra kai on Friday and if you're in town that weekend, keep an eye out for a 7 foot Freddie mercury pushing a Hoover around on Saturday night  |
