frightened of clubs

I have never been to a club or to a sex party or group meeting of any kind.
I have always worried that it would be filled with super hot guys and sexy girls who all know exactly what they are doing...
Maybe also filled with d*unk people and pounding music?
I do not drink or drug myself.
But other's seem to swear by clubs?
If I was to create a sex club it would be like coffee shop.
Peaceful chit chat with coffee. Then sneak of for a fuck with a stranger.

Why assume that about Clubs? Some people are into fitness and don't drink at all, most drink but not enough to get d*unk.

Being shy I was terrified the first time I went to a club, but once there it wasn't as intimadating as I had expected, as a lot aren't licsenced you don't tend to find too many d*unk people, in fact I think most aren't, just find a local one and go with out any expectations other than to meet like minded people out to enjoy themselves |

We've never done any of those you describe either, op. If we did we'd expect to see a cross section of society, so different types, shapes and sizes just like in the real world, excluding the so called elite clubs, gatherings and events like those that kill them cats. 
In all seriousness thkugh, if I were you I'd just go and see for yourself or better go to an organised social event which I bet attracts those that frequent clubs, they have clothes on so less intimidating. We will go to a club this year, it just needs to be far, far away from home.

As a single man, it depends on you and it depends on the club.
I'd not reccomend you be willing to part with too much cash, nor bend through too many hoops to gain entry to ANY of the club's involved with Swinging.
It's not aimed at everyone. Most of them are safe places where people go to be their exhibitionist selves, party, socialise, catch up and make new friends.
If sex is your primary concern, you probably won't enjoy it and may feel a bit ripped off.
If like me, having a good night out and meeting new people is your main goal. Then dont write off the club side of things.
I'd reccomend you take a friend with you, male or female, so you've a wingman/woman. Someone to talk to and people watch with. Make a few ground rules if you need, stick to them and watch the social veris roll in the next day.
Same goes for Group Socials. I'd advise you start here, you may find someone like you who is at exactly the same stage in their exploration. Team up.. straights, bi's, Gays, Tv's whatever. Get to know the people and you will find a friend who'll have your back in the swinging world.
It's that simple. |

The main club we attend is Secrets and it’s far from a club you would think. It’s classy, only single ladies and couples and the atmosphere is relaxed. They also serve a cuppa. |

I've never been to one either as I too am intimidated, despite being a fairly confident person in general. I've always imagined sticky floors ??
I guess they all have different vibes and rules etc , so one may suit you more than another- just like any other club or cafe! I don't even know if there are any in the Norwich area? |

After attending clubs for quite a few years now I couldn’t recommend trying one enough. I’ve met some great friends over the years there. Don’t go with any ideas of what to expect, just be non pushy and friendly with people in there and sure you’ll have a great time. Like been mentioned before maybe try one in the day first. First ever club I went to was Quest and that was a Wednesday afternoon so quite but just what you need for first trip there. Sure after you try one you’ll be hooked |

As someone who spends a lot of time in clubs
There is nothing to be worried about. Clubs is full of people of all shapes and sizes. The music can be a mixture depending on the night in question
I would say sometimes there is out and out fun happening in the bar area  - but often they are in the play areas
People are from all different backgrounds, chat and have a laugh you will be supprised. |

Just curious, as your a host at events, would you say joining at the right time of the year would make a difference. In spring time people are generally more open and welcoming but in winter they tend to close up and just huddle together with people they know. |

You're right. Also different vibes on different nights. If you like nights out and meeting new people. I'd highly reccomend it. Sex comes secondary I think.
There's a list of clubs and reviews on Fab. There must be. Norfolk is huge and Norwich is the only place around  Great Yarmouth is seedy enough to have one surely  |

In fact thinking about it.. I would love to own and run an adult club - completely of my own design and choosing.
Could be amazing experience.
Can't see it making any money though.

I lot of restaurant's don't. Start up restaurant businesses are lucky to last 2 years and the profit margins are sometimes less than 10%. Like any business, staff are you biggest cost, along with taxes and rates. Your on to a winner if you get your concept, service and product offering successfully right. I imagine running a club would have the same challenges of running any business that looking for people to spend their disposal income. Go for it OP. The pitfalls are plenty, but the rewards are great.

I am very new to the scene and can naturally understand the apprehension you (OP) are feeling, however, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
I've visited a few clubs now and have had a great time on each occasion.
Go with an open mind, expecting not to necessarily be involved in any sexy play (consider that a bonus), engage with others - female / male / couples - with respect and sincerity, as you would in any other social setting, and I'm sure you'll have a nice time.

Would you feel safe kissing? Snogging? giving oral? rimming etc?
Where do you draw the line?
Maybe the person you are snogging just rimmed someone else or swallowed?
Sorry but these of the kind of things I think of.
I even think a potential playmate could take offense at my wanting to use a condom as if its a personal slur against them.

Some clubs have events that are less intense e.g a “pub” night or even non-playing.
I went to one of the latter - it got me through the door and gave me some insight into that kind of venue.
People were very friendly and it dispelled a lot of fears.
The parties I’ve been to reminded me of coffee shops, with lots of chat. At least in the early stages |
