Despite not really having the cash we've seen one local to us which seems very good..

Anyone got any advice or experience of this model? I hate spending any money without doing my research first!

ps. this has nothing to do with the fact Ms 2Hunters promised me to fill it with boobies if I buy it

if its any help i have an Arctic Spa one and its three years old now and never been a problem. Also the running costs are low as it is so well insulated. At the time from talking to different people the general message was they are slightly dearer but you will soon recoup the extra costs.

P.s. Boobs do look amazing in it hehe x

had a soft tub for 20 years almost! Was lush, nice with the flat bottom! Had a new pump put in after 11 years! Got a hard based proper one now and it's ok, but breaks a lot these days and as its American parts r tough to get! Do ur research! But what ever u go for check the water regular! Lol loose boobs can clog the filters! Xxxx

we have a platinum elite 11 we bought from costco over 5 years ago low running cost never been a problem and ultra reliable.....despite many boobies in there on occasion never had a problem with clogged filters think they do a different brand at costco now cost is around £3k inc vat but equivelant models are about £5k from tub specialists.

After looking at the options i think that's what we are going to use, but does anyone have any tips for hot tub maintenance, everything i can read online just seems to be from companies trying to get you to buy lots of stuff that does the same thing...

we use chlorine.....water sparkle....just keeps the water nice and clear......test strips for levels and some ph up and down solutions......once you get used to it its not that hard to keep up with.

if you use chlorine the cheapest place to get it is ebay......we got ours last year a 5 k tub for about £18 inc postage if i remeber right...tub shops charge £10 for half a k so check around.

dont put chlorine in on day of party or use....do it day before...i made that mistake and had very sore bits the next day lol

you can get some nice smellies for the tub aswell......only last the evening but take the stong smell away

hope this helps

just had a look at ebay and bromine is alittle dearer and you will need a tablet holder....havnt used bromine so not 100% sure on use.

the water sparkle is nice and can be used with both....thats what really makes the water...welll ...... sparkle lol. also some no foam is good but not esential.

new water every 2-3 weeks? someone not doing a very good job of managing it. You should not have to change it for at least three months - more like 6 months if you really take care. You should not need klots of chlorine or bromide especially with a good ozonator.

" does anyone have any tips for hot tub maintenance, everything i can read online just seems to be from companies trying to get you to buy lots of stuff that does the same thing... "

Trick is to manage the water from the outset:

Buy a pack of test strips now and test your tap water - tyhis will tell you which products you need to buy!

When you have filled the hot tub for the first time:

1) Get water hardness correct

2) Get Total Alkalinity set

3) PH should be fine if Total Alkalinity is maintained.

4) Add Bromide by dispenser.

Use the test strips and once you have the water set on filling, a weekly check should be enough. Don't try to over manage - just keep Total Alkalinitity and Bromide within limits and you will be fine. A common mistake is to try too hard to get everything absolutely spot on and that is not necessary and very difficult.

Everyones water is different so getting your "new" water balanced is really important and for sure you will either have to make it harder or softer (oo-er) and either increase or decrease the alkalinity at the outset. On going then, you will just need to adjust your bromide dispenser and you will soon work out how much is needed to disolve. Some people just throw a bromide tablet into the filter housing once a week rather than user a floating dispenser and that is always a remedy if you have too little bromide!
