If it's your 1st time, I'd say it shouldn't be with a stranger but someone you trust! Nothing worse than saying "slow down a little" and they just keep pounding away anyway pretending they can't hear you 
And there's no such thing as too much lube!!

Be as relaxed as possible.
Lots of anal stimulation will help with that before actual penetration. Be with a person you know you can trust to take it easy. Use lots and lots of lube, can never be too much but can be too little. Liquid silk would be my recommendation.
It WILL hurt but once you get past that initial pain and your rectum is more relaxed it can feel pleasurable |

All that's been said above plus make sure to douche properly beforehand - other than that it's about relaxing and enjoying the experience - there will be a little discomfort when he first enters you but it will pass  |
