Well folks I've been toying with an idea of organising a party in a converted barn, it sleeps 14 so it'll be a small affair for select couples and requested singles (by the couple's that is) be a fully organised eve with drinks on arrival, evening meal and staff with breakfast the next morning. I won't be taking part just organising. I am however looking to charge 150 for singles and 200 for couples. Would it work?? TIA |

Hmmm I though it reasonable for dinner b&b all drinks etc covered just literally turn up with gear for the morning. |

Sounds like you will be making lots of profit there OP. Fab will not allow you to advertise it on here for that reason.
I doubt you will get many interested when you are charging so much money. A meal in a nice restaurant followed by a visit to a swingers club is much cheaper and would be the preferred choice for many. |

It won't or says it wont but it happens all the time sadly and little action is taken. |

What are you offering that makes it worth that sort of money?
We can go to a top end club with a hotel for a lot less than that.
We would spend that sort of money on an event but it would have to offer something very classy for example a masquerade ball in a mansion for us to spend that sort of money. |

Point is, I can do a night where I go home after and eat at home so don’t need to pay £150. I’d only do that, price of a mini break, for something out of the ordinary. |

Nope. I can go to Chameleons with a friend and stay the night. Get lots of people to play with there! If it's with people you know, then why are you not playing? If it's people you don't know, then would you really want to spend £150 - 200 on a night away with a bunch of people you don't know? Sorry to be so negative. Or honest, depending how you look at it. |

I sort of get your thinking but might be a small market wanting all three. When I go to a club with a friend then that is the focus. We really don't want a big meal and we certainly don't want to drink all night. As for where we sleep something like a prem inn close by is fine as we intend on having fun at the club most of the evening. On an individual basis we wil do the nice meal, nice hotel or spend an evening on the booze but your scenario doesn't really appeal.
You might do better skipping the meal and free booze and doing a more convensional party but there are always house parties to go to so charging will be difficult. |

Going ot a club is a far better option, more people to choose from, not being stuck with people you may hate and being able to go home and sleep in my own bed. Its an easy choice the club wins hands down. |

OP, what value are you offering for the price?
We attend four soirées each year with what many would say an expensive price tag. However, the return value for each, far outweighs the price to entry.
I wouldn’t say don’t do it, but knowing who your patrons is paramount and if you’re only offering Champagne reception and nibbles, you’ll find it will fail from the start.

Why are the couples selecting the ‘singles’? Far too pricey and against site rules OP to advertise it like this. |

Club, drinks, accommodation and breakfast would still be far cheaper. |
