I find myself getting uptight about poor grammar and spelling.
It's totally irrational as someone who can't string a sentence together can still make an awesome lover.
Failure to check auto correct on phones before posting is responsible for a lot of it and laziness another proportion.
Simple mistakes such as using are instead of our and don't get me talking about the use of their, there, they're and there're.
Does anyone else get annoyed?
And do you act on it or do you, like me quietly ignore it? |

Nice try.
Needs better punctuation, in my opinion. |

I agree, I ignore messages which I struggle to make my way through word by word, due to shortened words and dreadful spelling.
There's no excuse these days with spell check and preview.

Of course. I would turn down Scarlett Johansem for a missed comma or mixing up there and their.
In the real world of swinging (this is still a swinging site isn’t it?) it matters fuck all.
However it does provide the OP with a chance to start a thread that will rattle on for 175 posts. |

Ha ha! You missed the quotation marks on "are","our", "their", "there","they're" and "there're"! |

"Why do you start a new paragraph after only one sentence?
E&OE
Not really. You can't call other people as no-one is perfect are they."
But I don't call other people on it, I get annoyed but ignore it.
I wouldn't dream of correcting someone, unless it was really important and likely to cause them a problem.

“There’re” is a bit of an ambiguous abbreviation too. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that in writing.
With regard to people’s grammer and spelling, I’ll still meet them if it’s not completely illegibile, but won’t display their verification. |

Well you kinda are in starting this thread. Anyway so someone who isn't great at spelling and stuff you think can't be good at sex,I wonder how true that is. |

I think if you really get your knickers in a twist over it you would be too uptight and serious for my anyway.
I'll like a sprinkle of silly with my fellow pervs. Besides the way I text would simply do. Your. Head. In. |

I agree. I find it odd when people start correcting things. |

Iceland, but Aldi is closer.. |
There are some really sad people out there that will get on their high horse and berate others for poor spelling..
Most of you probably know Seeside, when he first joined and posted on the forums, he took a torrent of abuse, yet it was clear from his spelling that he suffers dyslexia..
I find it just very narrow minded to pull others on their poor grammar or spelling. This is a swinging site not a Bard appreciation club.. |

So very true, I for one admired Seesidep from the start and never had a problem reading his posts
I think we all find it mildly amusing that the people who generally make these sort of threads make grammatical mistakes themselves, we just enjoy pointing out how easy it is to “bollox it up” now and again |
