I don't tip anyone. It's an American habit that stems from companies paying shit wages and relying on the expectation that customers will pay extra to compensate the staff they should be paying themselves.
You don't tip the bin men, the postman, the checkout staff at the supermarket, the cleaner in hotels, the ticket seller at the cinema, the staff at McD's............
Why should certain jobs have an expectancy of a tip?

To be honest I don't tip them,I do feel a bit bad in not doing so,because as you say they're probably paid peanuts. If I had more money I may. |

Is that to either a man or a woman delivering. Now it shouldn't make one jot of difference,but I'm thinking if I was out delivering on a shitty dark cold night for shitty pay and you answered your door exposing yourself I'd be well pissed off. |
