Do you like the sound of your voice?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Can't stand my voice recorded.
I have also got an accent which can be easily mistaken for French so I am told and can't speak a word of French besides the alphabet. My accent is a mix of somewhere in Africa and English. |

When I hear my voice played back I hate it yet I've had plenty of women say I have a sexy voice and I'm quite popular on the karaoke... sounds good in my head too. Do we just hate it because we hear it differently? |

"Who are recording their voices and why? "
My daughter likes to wind me up, by recording us chatting then playing it back to me. I always sound like I have a cold |

I quite like mine actually but that's only because it doesn't sound like I think it should, so I think it's someone else.
I talk for a living & my calls are recorded... |

I talk so much that people assume I do
But no. I speak like a total chav and I just don’t think I sound girly at all. I videoed my dad boxing last night and I was screeching ‘come on dad! You can do it!’ And at the end of the video I can hear myself saying ‘fuck, my voice is annoying. Sorry dad!’ |

I don’t like mine....I have to make phone calls to customers and I have to listen back to them sometimes and I sound high pitched.
But in person I sound like I have a deep voice.
My verifications say that my voice is nice so I’m learning to love it a little... |

I blame the transmitter, seems like most people don't like their voice, but get complimented on it."

You have a great voice you should. My daughter thinks I sound posh at time's which is hysterical considering I'm from Stockport, but then she's growing up here so anything would sound posh to her. |

"I actually love my voice. My accent is a bit wanky but so am I. I think it helps me get noticed."
People's attitudes about my accent are wanky. I always cringe and wonder why they can't do that crap in private. |

Your voice sounds totally different to you when you hear yourself speak, to when you hear it played back on a recording, hence why most people hate the sound of their voice on video, but never give it a second thought day to day. |

"Irish accent, I think it sounds almost dirty. Hard to understand, talk to fast. But I’ve adapted to speaking slow since living here.
I've heard that about other accents, too. "
For me, I hate my accent. But it’s a real win with other people & get turned into a parrot repeating words more than often Sa’ll fun and games. It has its benefits |

Yeah I do. I’ve tempered my accent over the years and think it’s not too bad. Im pleased that some have commented as such in the past. Once you get a few beers down my neck however I slip back into Glaswegian though and that’s a bit |
