"Just wondered if people had an opinion on whether they are more or less likely to meet a couple if there is a big age gap between them. "
I wouldn't meet especially if the female was young.....I like women around my own age and older,  just had a thought that would make the guy half way up the stairway to heaven  |

That's exactly my thinking I just wondered if it would turn people off the fact there was such a big age gap but I think like the person above said I think it would be different if one was much younger I mean younger than I am. |

Yeah makes perfect sense haha I'm shit at explaining by txt as I'm lazy and can't be bothered typing,but that's exactly what I mean,as at 35 you'd hope you had got your shit together and grown up and learnt lessons over the years and at 35 most of your social circle will be around 35-60,as you're all mature adults,hey I know loads of women who are 55+ and stunning |

Yes I completely agree. I genuinely believe that age is more of a state of mind. What I mean by that is you get people in their 20s or 30s that have no energy, no ambition, no anything and people twice that who have still got a lot of life in them and a lot still to give and a lot more energy for that matter.
I was just curious really to see what people thought. |

I too prefer people my own age or older but I do find it interesting that it is considered unacceptable for an older man to enjoy a younger woman but not the other way round. Can think of many profiles on here where there is an older wife who enjoys younger men.

We've met couples with a big age gap in the past...often found their dynamic isn't something that we find comfortable, so wouldn't especially if the older half is of an age outside our preferences |

Why do people have such an issue with age gaps? I am 55 and E is 28 and we are very happy together.
It’s about personality and comparability and age is irrelevant
We are happy to explore together and if that works why would anyone have an issue with that? |

People seem to have more of an issue with this when the woman is older and the man is younger which I’ve never really understood don’t know if it’s consciously or unconsciously though.
As already alluded why should it matters if both parties like each other and are consenting adults? |

There's 10 years between us but I don't think you'd really notice it if we met. Age really is just a measure of time spent on this planet, it doesn't take into account personality traits or anything like that. I've met much younger guys who bore me to tears with no spark but then I've met older guys who have that spark and keep me on my toes.
