if we call ladies BBW then why dont we call men BBM? i dont like to "label" anyone, but men dont get called big beautiful men do they. im getting tired of seeing this subject in the forums now.everyone is different, we all have the same bits, just some are more fuller than others.the uk average size woman is a 16, but this can look very different depending on your height.if i was 6ft, then i wouldnt look so big.i like some of my curves and try to emphasise these "assests" and hide the others.
thats just my opinion. |

I think the male equivalent is 'BHM' (Big Handsome Man) although I don't think it's widely used.
For me, I am what I am ... I don't object to the label 'BBW' as it's only an indication to others that I'm above average in the wobbly bits dept. However, that term alone is a little subjective so I just tend to put my dress size when we're advertising for meets and let those looking decide whether that's too big for their preferences.

Hate being called a bbw as I know im big but not as big as I was (size 28 - 30, now as size 20 - 22) but dont mind being called beautiful!
Im a fat bird and hate being reminded of it as I am uncomfortable with how I look but working on it, I'll never be a skinny minnie but changed my name twice from big bi fem, to curvy bi fem only to get called fat in chat.
Ooo im a poet n didnt know it!
Dont do labels if I can help it but there is always someone to knock your confidence for how you look |

i have bbw at the start of my username so people no from the start im big.
im not against the term bbw, i just didnt understand why women had a label and men didnt, seems some people do have labels for the larger guys.
my post wasnt about bbw's, it was supposed to be asking why dont men have a "label" like some call women bbw.but i now realise some do have labels.
sorry for confusing people or causing any other emotion |

Women on the whole are a lot more fragile, emotionally, than men.
Therefore, BBW is a lot more acceptable to many women than something they may find derogatory.
Trace is always amazed about the things us guys say to each each other.
Things like patting a guy on the belly and asking when he had the bay window fitted or "When's it due?".
"Don't fall over mate, you'll rock yourself to sleep trying to get up", etc, etc.
The sort of things that would have a woman storming out, bursting into tears, or even contemplating suicide just get shrugged off by a guy.
For the most part, guys will just admit they're fat or out of shape, without the need for a protective label.
This of course is only the opinion of an out of shape fecker who ate too much crap over the hols! R

Nooooo I've always thought that women are higher on the evolutionary scale than men.
It's just that they're, for the most part, more fragile.
Although.....both sexes seem to suffer from varying degrees of body dysmorphia in one way or another. R

they sure do, ive seen no end of profile where their description dont fit their pic
Guys putting athletic who are clearly just skinny, women putting curvy who are large, men putting curvy thats just plain wrong women putting slim when they medium at best but also seem some profile where the womens put large and they dont really look large to me
I sometimes wonder if they are just selling themselves or if they really beleive they are the size they state they are |

+1 I'll agree with that. No i'm not overweight but from what I've experienced men don't get labelled as much BHM (or whatever it is) and just get called fat or overweight. Probably because people feel that men won't be offended as easily (I say this as my opinion and not as fact so don't shoot me). Blokes just get called fat by other blokes so I guess it's felt it's more acceptable to them.
I think the BBW thing probably came about as a nicer way of saying a women was overweight. Clearly not everyone is going to like the term.
Like I said, just my opinion. Probably not politicaly correct. Just for the

Is that a wind up???? Yes women will put on some weight naturally just like men do but to get overweight by a large margin is done by eating to much and not exercising enough by BOTH sexes not just men! |

To be fair, it is only a sifting device for searches and most people have pics up, or available on request, which give a good idea of what they are like. That said there is a definite lack of male pics on many profiles. If they don't have pics it's their choice and we just move on. |

I think the thing I was being flippant about the men being "fat" thing... is that men are likely to say kinder things to get leg over, whereas women don't.... but in reality a lot of men have as many confidence issues about their size as women do.....
the thing for many to realise that confidence comes from within..... and it took me a while to work that out.....
once i did.... took so many steps forward.....
p.s the miranda vs dawn french thing.... complete pish!!!!!! |

No doubt many men have wanted to ask this question............soooo glad it was asked by a woman.
I've always worked with large groups of men, hundreds over the years.
Whenever the "what sort of woman do you fancy" question arose, which was often, the ones who went for BBW were few and far between.
So it begs the question as to whether there's a lot of truth in what you asked?
Or, on the other hand..........do all men who fancy BBW's join swinger sites? R

My OH would disagree with the majority of men being attracted to very slim women. How many men are attracted to catwalk, androgynous type women, I'd guess at not many.
I would say that a large majority of men are attracted to big boobs. I'm not necessarily saying very overweight women, but women with boobs and a bit of meat on their bones. Nigella Lawson is a prime example.
But of course as with everything, we can't really make guesses at what we think others would like |

i can only speak from my own personal experiences but about 4 years ago i lost nearly 8 stone and went from a size 22 to a size 10 and i got far far more attention at a size 10/12 than i did at a aize 18 plus, i have since gained some weight over the past couple of years and am now back upto a size 14/16 ish and i have noticed the attention i get has dropped, not so much on here but at clubs mainly
It could be one of a few things i suppose
Mainly when i was slim i had more confidance and started wearing nice underwear so maybe that attracted some of the attention rather when when i was a size 22 walking round in a towel
I still wear underwear now even tho i dont feel as confidant as i did when i was a size 10 and i still get lots of men talking to me at clubs but nowhere near as many as i used to and i had also noticed that the type of men who talked to me when i was bigger compaired to when i was slimmer was different too
Im not saying by any means big ladies cant find meets because ovbiously they can all i am saying is when i was a size 10 i got far more attention and from better looking guys |

You being confident about yourself probably played it's part to some degree but lets not beat around the bush. The majority of men find a slimmer woman more sexualy attractive. It's a fact. Just like the majority of women when presented with a good looking, fit bloke and a less attractive over weight bloke would pick the good looking, fit bloke most of the time first. We're on a sex site and particularly in clubs you're going to be drawn to people you find physically attractive before their personality.
I think a lot of people feel like they're walking on egg shells when talking about weight issues for fear of upsetting someone. |

i agree, i think the majority of men, (and majority dont mean all of them lol) do prefer slim women, and by slim i dont mean cat walk models or size zero women i mean healthy slim, to over weight ladies
you only have to go to clubs and watch which women have all the good looking guys watching/following them, its always the young slim one that get most of the attention, i have never been to a club and seen all the men following a over weight middle aged woman about |

Naughty I won't quote your post because it was a long one.
In relation to your comments about getting more attention when you were a size 10 etc - I would honestly say that it was about confidence and how you felt rather than your size.
I have noticed a difference in how I am perceived at times in clubs. When I first get into a club, I'm dressed in underwear I love, I may have accessories on like hats, hairbands, jewelled corsets, gorgeous shoes, wacky eyelashes. I feel gorgeous therefore I act differently. I work the club basically. I chat, I flirt, I prance around in my outfits, I thrust my chest out, I act the diva, some will dislike it and see it as an inflated ego, some will respond favourably and follow me around like the pied piper.
After I've been in the jacuzzi I keep a towel on. I don't act the same way in a towel. Its almost like I'm in limbo between exhibitionist diva Feebs but not quite my everyday studious, sensible self.
To a degree the clothes give me confidence because I exude a different stance when in them. I feel good therefore I feel uber confident.
I have never gone without attention in a club, whilst I have an ok face, my body is nowhere near perfect, though to be fair my huge boobs are my biggest asset and accessory. I am a big girl, I'm overweight, have a flabby tummy, thighs to crack walnuts etc but I feel more sexy in a club now than I ever did when I was a size 8 all those years ago, clubbing in vanilla world.
I wouldn't say I play with guys who are deemed not to be conventionally handsome either. I have played with some gorgeous model type men, one was so breathtakingly gorgeous I had to keep looking behind me to check it was really me he was smiling at. And I've had attention from some gorgeous fit black guys who were younger and fitter than me. And I've also played with guys who may be classed as normal everyday types whom after chatting to, they make me laugh and they are instantly as attractive as George Clooney to me.
I truly believe the vibes you give off reflect the attention you receive not necessarily your body size. If you believe you were prettier at a size 10 and now you are bigger and feel you are less attractive, that's the vibe you will give out. In reality you are very attractive and sexy.
As Gok would say 'its all about the confidence'
