"Yes, and no. I have plenty of really close male friends (in the league of best friends) who I have zero attraction to and will never be considerations. They're just great people. "
You have answered Yes and no...
so you have given the answer to the no scenario on your reply, is there a answer to the yes, have you ever had that scenario..! ? |

Yes. But I need to be completely unattracted to them. Every girl I’ve had as a best friend has quite often become something more. Plus New partners don’t like men having girls as friends! |

Oh, sorry, I was going off the headline. Yes I have best friends who are male where it's completely platonic. So no, I've never made a move. |

Most of my close friends are women. I've never made a move on a platonic friend but I have friends in my life who began as either partners or casual lovers. |

My husband had a friend who considered him her best friend, she made a move claiming she was in love with him now they no longer speak because she couldn't accept the fact that he was happy with me and not interested in her romantically. |

I have lots of close male friends that I've never looked at sexually and would never make any kind of move on, and a few exs that began as friends but became something more. |

Yes I can see that would cause a problem. This is a common accurance in my limited experience. |

So if a current male friend made a move on you, you would be totally shocked..? |

I feel that this is possible but I also think in my opinion mostly one or the other develops feelings and there is always tell tale signs that are ignored and brushed under the carpet.? |

Yes, I have a couple of very close male friends. We had a thing a few years ago and it fizzled out as we weren’t compatible in that way but the friendship stayed. |

I have loads of close friends who are male. My ex was invariably jealous of them, even though nothing untoward was going on. There were one or two I really fancied, but I kept it under wraps for fear of souring the friendship. |

Completely.. there's no romantic interest in any of them and I'm sure they all feel the same. Friends with several exs too and likewise it's 100% platonic. |

Thank you, this is exactly the situation I’m talking about. I think close friendship between the majority of opposite sexes have lust intertwined in it somewhere by at least one side if not both.
Most and not all. |

"I did but he's not really my friend anymore. We did 'make a move' and it ruined the friendship. Probably we never were friends, he was just using me. "
It’s a shame to loose a friendship over that, also ashame you think he was using you. |

In a sleepy little village |
I've tried being just good friends with males however even though I've said I'm not interested in them sexually, they seem to continue to keep making suggestive comments to me. That kind of kills it for me |

Probably didn't help we had a d*unk threeway with her before she told him that but their friendship did end with her begging him to leave me and our family for her. |

I had a friend who was a "tomboy" lesbian.
But within a short period of time I learned she was sociopathic/narcasistic...
She appeared to be like a boy but it was only superficial.
I became stuck with her as a neighbour/colleague.
She literally believed she was the best looking boy or that she could knock men out with 1 punch.
She was genuinely evil and toxic.
Her girlfriend used to beat her up alot and I got to the point where I routed for her girlfriend because they had a ridiculous "make up break up" thing every week.
They were both superficial people. They wanted to inform my then girlfriend about a time I cheated (I regreted months later)
Propper toxic...
I make friends platonicly with girls but I'm not having the argument about a lesbian being "a boy" because I learned that are using female privalidge when it suits them and they will NEVER understand what being a man is really about.
MEN can't talk violence then back away and expect not to get knocked out...
Men and worn are different and I got my fingers drasticly burned by treating someone "as HE wanted to be treated"
Because SHE could never grasp or respect basic male principals. |

I have had this with my male best friend since I was about 14 years old.
We are really good friends, once we were FWB but now just friend. I am basically in love with the guy but will never tell him as our friendship means too much to me. |

Had nearly all male best friends (longest for 30 years) never would have sex with them as that would change the relationship and the saddest thing is very very rarely does a girl friend understand ... always sad when not seen for 10 years now divorced never be same friendship again |

"One of my best mates is a bloke. We've been friends for around 15 years. Been on holidays together, all the usual stuff you'd do with a good mate.
Great bloke.
"
Proof that there are these kind of friendships about. ???? |

One of my closest friends is Male. We do coffee, drinks , meals, I’ve watched him having tattoos done. We’ve been friends for years and it’s never been more than that. |

because you don't have a dick.
every minute do it, do it, do it. it is said that men think of sex every...something... seconds. why do you think your guy friend hasn't thought about having sex with you just not voicing it especially if you are a "5-10" hot on a social scale. even if you are not his type very likely he has thought about it.
The only way he hasn't, if he is always busy and has hectic lifestyle. |

I’ve got a really close female friend that I’d run through a brick wall for. She’s stunning and funny but I couldn’t make a move on her. It just wouldn’t feel right. |
