And I can't speak for others, but I don't require an elaborate social ritual. Just put my mind at ease that you're minimally socialised and respect me as a person, and that can actually be enough sometimes.

This must be club specific. I will sometimes attend a club with a friend as a 'couple' rather than going on my own and don't find it nearly as bad as that. Thinking of well known club Chameleons on a Friday night which is the night with most single guys. There are two room which have more of an 'anything goes' group dynamic (the cinema and the group room with the big round bed) but elsewhere in the club it not something that is typically prevalent.

We added our first club on Saturday just gone and although we didn’t see any “Wanking dead” we did encounter a lot of creepy acting guys.

No attempt at conversing, they just stared at us and others whilst in the lounge area and then kept hopping room to room.

The corridors to the play rooms had guys just lined up waiting for prey, not talking or engaging anyone. And in the empty play rooms guys just sat waiting.

Sadly no, though it does vary on a night by night basis. We've been to at least 8 different clubs/venues and had it at every single one. And it's not just Her or us they follow - at least twice, I've been followed by TVs into the toilets or rooms. And by followed I mean less than a foot behind. Another time, we were sat on the sofa in the lounge area, where one dropped his trousers and proceeded to wank as if he was the inhouse entertainment.

Before we tar every man with the same brush, these are always by far the exception. Most people are respectful and we've never had any real issues with anyone - a look or a quiet word and they remember their manners and its sorted. It's more irritating and off putting than anything.

Follow the club's guidelines about behaviour and respect, don't join the wank zombie conga line, be prepared to be ignored/avoided/rejected by single females and couples (think Big Issue sellers in the High Street), but do try to engage in conversation with anyone willing to chat to you (usually other single guys by themselves). I advise you to look for events specifically encouraging single guys to attend, or as I said above; arrange to meet someone inside. Good luck!

I don't presume anyone guilty. I usually play with single guys in clubs. I like you guys, I really do! I just need people to treat me like a person, smile, talk. First club we went to there was about three/four ladies and about twenty men.

We went to clubs for years and I can’t see what all, the fuss is about .

They are just as entitled to do what they enjoy as anyone else is . As long as they aren’t grabbing , touching inappropriately , or hooting their load on to people who don’t want it , why shouldn’t they be wanking ?

For me being followed and stared at are one of the downsides of clubs, but (in most clubs) the upsides outweigh it. And there are degrees of it, from creepy/ dehumanising/ mood killer all the way through to flattering/ join in if you want to. I know it's a risk, I usually have a good time anyway. But everyone would have a better time if people communicated in some basic way and we're minimally friendly.

As long as they are respectful it doesn’t bother me. I like being watched and putting on a bit of a show if I feel like it.

I always play in open rooms, I go with a friend but often times we are separate doing our own thing, never had any guys following me around the corridors wanking but the rooms do fill up fast.

Guys that have come closer have asked if they can touch and have not just helped themselves, which would be a mega turn off and I wouldn’t hesitate in stopping everything and walking away if I felt someone was being disrespectful.
