People who expect to meet without having a chat on the phone first...

Hmmmmm.....I was going to meet a couple this Thursday. We'd exchanged a couple of emails over the last couple of weeks & they said they'd send their number nearer the time.
Today they sent details of where to meet (in a hotel)...but wouldn't pass on their mobile number. I asked for it again for a quick chat when convenient for them. After a couple of polite emails I told them I wouldn't meet unless we at least exchanged had a quick chat. I was more than happy to pass on my number too.
They emailed me & told me I was a time waster....because I wasn't prepared to see them without have a brief chat.
Is that strange or is it me just being too demanding to want to at least speak to a couple for a meet? |

I never give anyone my number on here, i dont text, i dont chat on the phone, im happy to go on cam just to show im female but to be honest i dont want loads of guys off here calling and texting me at all hours so i dont hand my number out
If guys do not want to meet me because of this i dont think they are time wasters as lots of people like to chat first it simply means we are not what each othe are looking for so i just move into someone who will meet me without getting my nymber, i do ok on here not had any problem so far getting meets |

ur right for u, though i dont chat on phone till night of meet for directions i hate phone chat but thats just me, i leave it to maybe hour before meet as i used to get guys askin yo talk dirty to them so i choose to put a stop to it, but keep to what works for u  |

I dont give my number out as i met a guy once and after a drink i deided i didnt want to take thing further or meet again, he text me for about a week after with abuse and used to call me at silly hours just to be a pain as when i did answer he never spoke so i stop answeing and he just kept calling, i had to change my number which was a right pain as i am on contract so not as easy as just buying a new sim, so after that i never gave out my number again as i dont see why i should have to go thro all the fuss of changing numbers etc every time i give my number out to a nut job
Plus i used to get guys who i had exchanged number with sending me random messages asking what i was doing  i now this may sound funny but i dont want guys i have exchanged number with for a meet to be sending me texts for no reason while im doing my shopping or out with my kids
so now people either meet me without getting my number or they look for soemoen else |

totally agree we use a play sim for meets and stuff but god ya def get some nutters and random messages outta the blue |

Sounds like you did exactly the right thing...if we are arranging a meet the first thing i do is ask to speak to the fem on the phone...no chat...we take it no further. |

We don't do chats on phones etc and I don't give out my number, we do offer my OHs number as a way of contact details.
I wouldn't give mine as I don't want to get into texts etc which in effect are excluding my OH.
I can see the point made by the OH in terms of ensuring safety and if requested then we would oblige, but it wouldn't be a long chatty conversation and it would again be my OHs tel no. |

nunless i have clear cut directions and im sure i have some female halfs acknowledgement that im comin I wont join.Sick of even verified cpls thinking I will organise myself or even try organising getting a group of friends(males/female/cpls)-when ive had little contact.Be great turning up to a party that doesnt actually exist lol |
