"Is it bad that I message people on here when I'm in church???"
Difficult to text with one hand and serve the wafer with the other though... Eh, vicar...? |

Out of interest, when people are using their phones at work - what do their colleagues and managers think they are doing?
I'm not saying that I never post from work, but it's normally on a break. |

Lots of companies can also see EVERY site you visit..and there are a lot of people out their who either dont know about 'History' or never clear it..
Someone in our place was sacked last year because she was poncing about on the computer looking at shopping sites and booking her holidays when she should have been working...she would have got away with it, but she eventually kicked up a massive fuss that she didnt have time to do certain work related tasks..so the company looked at her computer and that was it...bye bye.
Regarding mobiles, if I had my way I would ban them..ok using one in your dinner break fair enough...but as for the rest of the time...no.
We have a large admin section in work..walk in there at any time of day and someone will be fiddling with their mobile...they seem to think its their birthright, perhaps the free use of facebook is built into their contract???..it isnt, nor are 'fag breaks'..one of our managers loses an hour a day because of smoking..thats 3-4 days a year they are being paid to smoke!!..
Rant over..Merry Christmas! |

Nope. Our network system has blocks in place, not only for this sort of site, but ebay, facebook etc etc.
As we have to log in with username and password as well, anyone attempting to access such sites are automatically logged and dealt with via the disciplinary system.
Can you say Big Brother? |

maybe people shouldnt really give a fuck what others do in their worktime and concentrate on when they like to use FAB or any other site.
Oh btw I'm currently unemployed and I'm using the internet for looking for jobs and for some of my social life(like FAB)...ooooh! cn see it now a tirade of pishy opinions without knowing a single fact approaching...

Nah...Id say it was more a case of making sure you are there for what you are paid to do..i.e work.
Facebook has got to be the biggest distraction in work.. stopping access to it on computers doesnt eliminate the distraction completely though because of mobiles..which is a blessing for a lot of the women in our place...how would they be able to carry on their bitch fight otherwise????
Joking aside, far too much shit and gossip is spread on 'bitchbook' and it has lead to disciplinary's in our place because of people slagging others of on there..
Besides that...do we really know that someone has just forgot to put sugar in their tea or is thinking of calling at Tescos on the way home??? |

Whichever computer is used to access sites, the sites visited remain visible even if they are deleted from history and even private messages too. It if gets to a certain point it can and usually will be used in evidence against you even if just to embarrass you... |
