Setting myself up for one word answers on here!!
But seriously do you find a one word answer especially when it's "mmmm" off putting when it seems to happen a lot in a conversation. Once or twice in context is ok.
Sometimes I feel it's a lack of interest and they can't be bothered to type more. |

Either they aren't really interested, are answering a few messages at the same time or they're multi tasking ie cooking the tea / watching Antiques Road show.
Got to admit I've been guilty of all of the above. |

many women reply with one word answers because they are chatting to a few at same time, I must admit I'm not a fan ' thanks x' is a common one or ' maybe' |
