I play the sax... badly I might add.

Pink Floyd have some beautiful sax on dark side. Us and them I think.

If you can play the recorder you can play basically any wind instrument. Sax holds a special place in my heart.

If you want to look sexy to the opposite sex, a guitar. No one gets moist for the other, even if it is great sax.

If you want to make those ladies shake that booty and get all tingly you gotta learn how to play bass "properly".

A nice powerful low b string thrumming through a club can actually hit certain women in that sweet spot

Then you are the one actually controlling the groove and funk in the music... Making all the booty shake plus have you seen a bassists fingers? Haha we are a gifted breed (go watch John entwistle 5:15 from the Albert Hall in 2000 to see what I mean)

My dad played in jazz bands, when I was setting out and thinking about learning a musical instrument the 'touch stone' for guitar was still Hank Marvin, even though The Beatles had broken big.

So for me, guitar was a no brainer.

My dear old dad had other advice, 'learn the sax, the sax players get all the girls, probablmy 'cis they usually have long fingers , see?'

I didn't learn Guitar or Sax, but ended up playing violin! Either way, no probs with the admiration from the opposite sex for my musical skills and I earned a few bob busking too!

So in the case of this thread, it would have to be the sax.

Oh, and the long fingers quote made greater sense once I got older.

It's very common to play the guitar. Seems most people play a guitar or uke. I would think playing the sax would make you more appealing
