How far would you or have you, travelled for a meet?

Im opened minded about travelling, however a recent time waster has made me think twice.

For the right people, as long as the timing’s right, then we’d probably say anywhere in the U.K. We’re always up for a fun filled road trip and dirty weekend away

We are with you on that, the trip doesn't have to be the sole purpose of the trip, just the catalyst to make the visit.

Driving for a great meet is not a problem for us we usually put a couple of days away with it so it makes it a short break holiday with benefits. male

I think it depends on who you are meeting. If it is someone you already know or someone you have been talking to for ages then you would travel further than a last minute spontaneous meet.

Luckily I travel with work so pretty much any distance is ok and at least if it's a no show I haven't had a pointless trip.

Anywhere in the country, as other people have commented, combine it with something else and it's happy days I'm Scottish living in the South East so heading up there has never bothered me, always new hotels to find

I've travelled over an hour for a meet and it was great. On the flip side, travelled 10 mins and it was terrible night! I'll happily drive for a hour or so for the right person no problem.

Never been more than about 15 minutes by car. I don't think we'd go much further unless we were convinced it was going to be something pretty special. So many FAB people nearby there isn't much need here.

Because I've had to many plan 'B's in the past I will now only travel max of 1 hour.

We went to America for a meet, we did know her though so I suppose it’s not so bad. Also going to head to Australia in the new year for a party with a couple we met in Paris. We like an excuse for a trip somewhere!

First time meet, we’d probably do anywhere in the UK, maybe globally if we fancied the meeting place as a destination anyway.

I have traveled two and a half hours before, but now I limit it to around an hour, perhaps more for the right person/couple.

If the distance is greater than the meet time, I wouldn't bother.

Have done 49 miles just for a coffee. Did a 50 mile trip (EW) to meet at a service stn. Silly me, Didn't have a picture. Found a msg for me when I got home "You didn't look like your picture, I had a wasted trip". (She did! Yeah all of 10 miles for her. On the other hand, 80 miles for lunch, became an overnighter, and three further weekends. Does that balance out?

We’ve travelled from Glasgow to Aberdeen for a meet. 3 hours each way in one night but was a great meet.

During the summer id travel a couple of hours because then if its a timewaster or disappointment then at least ive had a good ride on my motorbike to cheer me up. In winter though about 30/40 mins as i hate driving

After saying i wouldn't meet I then drove 165 miles to have a coffee.

So glad I changed my mind... she’s one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen and for those couple of hours just sitting and chatting with her I’d do it all over again.

Leicester

I did this on another site. I traveled From Leicester to Hull for a meet. Waited 3 hours and tried and tried to get hold of her. Would no answer her phone. So headed back and did eventually get hold of her when I was about half way back. She gave me a piss poor excuse ( I was fuming as I had to pay for fuel and a hotel that I had to cancel). So I basically told her to do one for waisting my time. Now unless it's in London or I go to a club, I won't go further than 50 miles (one way) and will not go unless I speak to them just before I leave. As their are way too many time wasters.

We stick to about 1 hour or 50 miles roughly for a meet, however, we did travel about 300 miles to meet some friends for the weekend.
