Just read a thread that mentioned retirement homes which instantly got me thinking......do you reckon swinging is rife amongsted the elder members of our community? Age should be no barrier to fun and the closer to the exit the less inhibited people become. |

A friend of mine who is a police officer was called to an unexplained death at an old folks home - a woman in her late eighties had been found dead on her bed with a head injury and what at first appeared to be injuries - and state of dress - consistent with a sexual assualt.
It turned out she'd been using her bed-knob as a dildo and had died during the throes of passion, fell off and whacked her head on the wall! |

I don't think there's any reason to think that sexual activity ceases with age.
However if you assume that swingers are a relatively small percentage of the overall population and that fewer older people swing I doubt retirement homes are a hot bed of swinging. I reckon its a safe bet that some swinging does happen. |

I think if you look up studies which have asked thousands of older people about their sex lives you may be surprised to find that one in four couples have no sex at all . However they are happy with that .
Some have sex twice a month , others less and a minority more , but over all it definitely gets less and less as one gets older .
Men worry about erections more , especially in their seventies and eighties , women just go off sex altogether , and it’s natural .
One forgets that sex is by default a way to keep the human population up , and no one is gonna a have kids in their late 70s or 80s are they ? So nature will obviously slow down hormones inducing desire as we get older . Just like any other mammal . |

from what I read on here one in four men live in sexless marriages  . The rest of what you say makes sense though
