So just little bit of advice from you fabbers....been here for years and now someone has took it upon themselves to share my personal pics On here with my work boss! As every one can imagine I was horrified to find this brought to my attention ...clearly someone very jealous and trying to get me SACKED!!!!
Anyone know where I stand ?? With data and no permission etc, any advice will be much appreciated thanks fabbers x |

Take some legal advice. I'm not qualified to say for sure but would revenge porn laws cover this?
How has your boss reacted? What could he or she sack you for, are you in a job that has a no disrepute clause in the contract? |

That would be my first port of call. A to see what they have on you. Might even be your boss that is trying to manipulate you! |

If I was me I would go to the police but if you don't know who it is it might prove difficult to bring a prosecution. How did they show your boss? In person?

Ok. Well you need to find out exactly where you stand by looking for the helpline number suggested and ask your bosses exactly what they know then move on from there. It might be useful to reverse search your images and remove any on here with identifying features eg tattoos. |

I am savvy and put on the spot like that was unexpected...I am asking for advice not matter of opinions ....my work are been compliant that's all I ask ...the boss is away at the moment so can't sort anything till another week but can do research until then....i have changed profile name and removed pics that maybe identifiable to others |

When we put pictures into a public space then what happens to them after that isn't really something the law controls.
By doing so, we give sonsent for anyone to view them.
Why be ashamed?
Its only centuries old, patriarchal, religious zeal that tells us that anything other than shielded monogmy, where adam rules over eve, is wrong.
A collective, outdated unconcsious belief. If it was a lgbt outting, then theres laws for that, so why dont hetero's start questioning why swinging should be something shameful.

I wasn't embarrassed or ashamed at all ....it's the fact of someone stooping that low on my life at work to wreck my career total madness...I will find out who it is ...fab Is a very small world |

Yet your immediate boss is the one telling you you've been seen? Totally sounds like the case to me. Especially as you've only been told pics gave been shared and not down what they have seen. |

I'm no expert of this but it does sound like a crime has been committed and I would urge you to report it to the police. I guess it depends if they've just taken screenshots of your public profile or whether it was someone you'd had contact with who had access to your friends pictures. Your boss sounds like they could tell you, in the latter case then I urge you to go to the police and make an example of people that do this. |

It’s clearly someone who knows you well enough to know who your boss is , and it’s important to get the perpetrator to understand that there are ramifications to their actions .
It’s a nasty thing to happen , and we know it to our cost as all our pics were posted on porn sites in the past . Over 60 including face pics and that was a lesson learned . We never found out who did this but now won’t have face pics on here . |

I know I do to....I also think I have an idea who at work it may have been to share these without my permission this is very annoying as I'd love to rip this person's head off ....that's not going to get me anywhere tho gonna approach the person out of work and take it from their |

I may be wrong but I think gdpr mainly relates to companies storing and using your data, not individuals who screen shot pics. |

I would get the police involved. There is a good chance they can catch who did this. Especially if they shared your pics via the Internet.
If they get caught you get to find out who did it. They get done by the police. |

I think what is wrong here is the maliciousness. Whoever did this was hoping the OP got into trouble in work. That is horrible. I hope whoever did this gets caught. |

You need to know what has been shown, because it may not be you.
If you recognise that it is you, if no-one is trying to coerce or threaten you, you have nothing.
We put our pictures on here for people to see. We can't complain if they do just that, and show others. |

Hi there, sorry this has happened to you. From what you have described it does sound like an offence has been committed. I do urge you to report it to your local police using 101 or their online reporting tool. As others have said the site https://revengepornhelpline.org.uk/faq/ may also be useful to you. Hope it works out for you... |
