I went to Vegas a few years ago for new year.
Amazing time,
Make sure your on the strip before midnight as they close it off at about 9pm so you can party on it & there are fireworks from the roofs of allot of the hotels etc at midnight

Found the actual New Year bit a bit of a let down tbh.
The place itself is like another world with a million things to do even if you don't really gamble. Make sure you don't pack your case too much, theres some excellent shopping outlets selling everything from trainers to suits (exchange rate is crap compared to when i went, but should still have some good deals)
Make sure you try the Stratosphere at night- view is amazing....even better if they still have the ride that fires you up in to the air on a seat  |
