So Mrs was having a laugh earlier and said she needs to get her a sugar daddy. Like what's the chances of that what does that even really mean? I'm not paranoid just sat up at 4am thinking absolute nonsense lol. |

A sugar Daddy is a very rich man who has a young woman as his plaything. the young woman gets showered with money, clothes, gifts, etc. |

Not everyone is interested in being involved in this kind of arrangement.
Some of us like making our own money, others are happy to get cash and gifts from “sugar daddies”. There is always a catch in my opinion. |

In this dane age, a sugar daddy is an ugly old fart who gives money to a young woman in exchange for regular meetings which often, though by no means always, involves sex.
It’s a sort of prostitution mainly resorted to by female uni students to help minimise their loans. There are websites that facilitate initial meetings, just like dating websites.

The problem arises once you think past the initial gains. Personally i have no interest in those but some do and that's there business.
Anyway back to my point what is essentially transpiring is a transaction between two(or more) consenting adults. And whilst it's all perfectly "legal" it does not sit well with my morals, i would say it is not just a step back but a great bloody leap backwards  |

Remember the Belle Du Jour girl who was a Phd student who worked as an escort. Got to choose her clients and decide when to work. Earned more in a night than most of her friends earned in a month.
It was her choice so on a site which deals in NSA sex should we judge a woman for being a sugar babe? If it was a young guy offering sex to older women in return for gifts would we be so judgemental?
Women who use their charms or sex for financial gain are still judged. It’s their choice and it’s been going on for ages. It is most definitely a thing though. |

There are many different types of sugar daddy agreements.
Some involve just sex in return for money and gifts
Some involve dating and sex in return for money and gifts
Some involve no sex, just companionship in return for money and gifts.
Been there... done it. It’s hard work to find a decent one. Most guys are all talk.
I actually didn’t “date” any sugar daddy older than 45. So they are not all wrinkly old men, in actual fact most were in their 30s. I didn’t have sex with them all. In actual fact, one guy took me for a posh dinner in return for money then offered me another 300 for going to his hotel room, laying naked on his bed for half an hour just telling him about myself. He didn’t touch me and I didn’t touch him. Nothing was expected.Easiest money I ever made. I know people will judge and that’s ok. I don’t think I’d go back to it in the future but I’ve got some brilliant stories from it. X |

I think it's something that could work well but also introduce an uncomfortable power dynamic. (it's also not for here lest it open the floodgates for escorts etc. Who have their place too, just not here)
Personally, I only go so far as accepting drinks (which I try to keep inexpensive and I nurse) and the like. |

What pisses me off some days (and amuses me on others) is that if you are a mixed age couple, people assume there is some form of monetary motivation involved
My other half is 24 years my junior yet is totally self sufficient in terms of £, works in IT Software Development for a Top100 company and has a first class honours degree under his belt
People see us together and assume that I'm wedged in some way and we're together for what I can 'provide'
Whilst I am financially 'comfortable', I'm far from being wealthy and, longer term, if anyone benefits financially out of our relationship it's likely to be me rather than him |

We get that all the time. Some even blurted out loud "so you're with him for the money". I still haven't found that money pot 
If anything I'm the main earner. We just leave the to their own assumptions.
