Nipple piercing and mammograms

Has anyone had a mammogram with a nipple piercing?

Were you asked to remove it, or are you able to keep it in? Mine is quite a shallow piercing, can I get away with changing it for a ptfe bar?

Best to ask the people doing it. The US may have entirely different guidelines but metal will obscure film views. It takes a couple of minutes at most so why not just take them out?
