Do people really meet just to socialise?
My wife and I have had a few experiences, mainly with guys, but are now looking to play with couples. We've been to a Sheffield social, but felt intimidated as hell (strange as we're both fairly confident with strangers, me especially), and also been to La Chambre twice but again felt like rabbits in the headlights. We just sat there all night and didn't feel like we fit in.
We'd love to get to know some people, whether they're regulars or wanting to get into the club scene, for a pint, or a coffee, and a chin wag, with the intent of going to a club together at some point.
Anybody in a similar situation, or willing to take pity on us lol?
Help and advice welcome.

I'm probably fortunate as a single lady (in the right club), but in the right club, the staff should help orient you, maybe even make introductions to regulars. I totally get that it's an intimidating environment. |

I'm just a social butterfly at the moment. I go to clubs to socialise with my friends in the scene (try the attic it's so friendly) and I go to group socials. I enjoy the clubs as I can be me, where as I feel self conscious in a general night club |

Don’t give up. More visits you do the better chance of getting to know people. I go on my own - poor strangers get me giving them earache
The jacuzzi is a great icebreaker too.
