Heels just make a woman look/feel sexier?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi all, not wanting to start world war 3 but in my opinion there is just something about heels that makes women look sexier. I'm not saying women aren't sexy without them but the way the leg extends just look sexier. Anyone agree or have any thoughts? |

Very much agree, not a fan of all the "flatties" that we see around these days |

I read something years ago that said it changed your posture to make you stick your arse and tits out.
I'm in flats most of the time due to injury, but I certainly feel more confident in heels when I can get away with them. |

They do but are also very bad for your posture |

I love heels.
The higher the better.
I did read some science on this.
The average male tends to have a ratio of 50/50 torso to legs.
The average female tends to have longer legs than torso.
Instinctively, men become more attracted to women who approach 70/30.
Heels elongate the legs and make them appear longer.
Which makes them a very valuable accessory to someone like me.
The history of heels is fascinating.
Men in Egypt first wore high heel shoes as a symbol of wealth and status.
The fashion arrived in these islands about 1600 or so.
Men wore heels to show off their wealth basically.
By 1700 or so, women started wearing them too and over time it gradually faded as a fashion accessory for men. |

"I just wish I could walk in the damn thing's and for them to be comfortable."
Before my injury I had best luck with mid heels with a thick heel and a strap over the top. Not as classic for sex appeal, but a nice balance between sex appeal and being able to walk without pain! |

It’s funny (just pondering) but in most cultures, historically and to a lesser extent in modern times - women have been expected to go to extreme and painful measures to please and attract men!
I’m sure there are loads of examples I’m missing - but in Africa there are tribes who put a series hoops round their necks to forcibly elongate them, The Chinese historically had foot binding (agonisingly painful and permanently deforming)
..... and in the western world we had corsets until the 20th century we had boned corsets that pulled the waist in but restricted breathing so much that it made women feint regularly; bustles to make bottoms look unusually large; and heels in recent generations - which if worn constantly can deform feet (forcing toes to point, painful bunions on heels and sides of feet) and cause back problems!
This isn’t a feminist complaint - it’s just an observation (I like to wear heels occasionally myself) - as I can’t think of anything potentially health damaging/deforming that men have done - historically or now (except perhaps the modern trend to live in the gym - but is that to attract women or impress your peers - or just for yourself? There’s a whole other debate I think! )
So I’m wondering - why is it that women feel they have to artificially enhance their bodies (with makeup, clothing and latterly surgery) to attract men?
Just wondering! |

As much as I hate to roll out "social construct" as a catch all term for anything like this, that's basically the reason why.
Women are generally trying to get the best mate to father their offspring. Men have all the power (especially in earlier generations when women couldn't have money or own property etc) so "we" need to conform to the male ideal to get the best mate.
There are studies (can't remember the details off the top of my head) which show that women are attracted to different types of men during different parts of their cycle - the tough, strong man when they are fertile and caring the rest of the time. The theory is that "we" know that the tough guy isn't the best person to bring our child up
Hope that made sense (don't yell at me if anyone has a different view). |

Do you think that is true?
That women want to look good in order to please men?
For me, first and foremost, is it about me, about wanting to feel as good and confident about myself as I possibly can. |

I tend to wear flats most of the time ...except if I need extra confidence or know it’s going to be a difficult meeting - I then wear heels because for me - it boosts MY confidence and makes me feel in control ie. Power dressing |

I don’t feel I “have to”, I merely have the opportunity to. You don’t “have to” drive, but modern technological and fiscal advancements mean that you have the opportunity to do so if you wish. |

Love a lady in heels, don't have to be really high ones, as they make her legs and bum look even better. Also sex in heels, her not me, is horny too. Add in some sexy nylon when wearing heels is an absolute winner |

I totally disagree, in general I don't like them, most women walk like bambi in them and I prefer a woman in flats any day. |

Heels just make the legs appear longer and lift the bum. Lovely to look at, in fact we had a little play this morning with Lou wearing some as our pics show |

I totally agree .... how I look, what I wear is about me being me. If a guy shows his appreciation of how I look Then great but I don’t do it to impress anyone.... I just happen to like being well dressed, heels and all .... |

Heels are fav of mine - a lady keeping them during play is so sexy.
You’ve gotta be careful though lol they can hurt in the midst of passion, if you get scraped or poked lol |

I'm either or. Heels doesn't make the person.
But have you noticed how at the end of the night a lot of women are bare foot and holding their heels by the strap.
So I'm thinking they are uncomfortable. |

I too love heels but at 5’11” when I go out in them I am taller than most men. Love that. The ones in my photos are definitely bedroom only as can’t walk in them at all. |

What I find interesting is that in the animal kingdom it is the male that is brightly coloured and has different plumage etc to attract a mate. The female sits back and lets him do all the weird dancing around and fetching her presents...we may have got things wrong somewhere...
Lol |

I like to wear heels when I'm out they make me feel sexy and think make my legs look longer too. Knowing that my man likes them makes me feel smug and I'm pleasing him and I get admiring looks. Win win |
