"Staying in Milton Keynes for a night in couple Saturdays time - is there much going on swinging event wise? Any pubs or clubs to reccomend etc? A rare kid free night so best make most of it!!" Dunno about swinging events - there are a couple of clubs relatively close by (Jaydees, Vanilla Alternative) that are said to be good (I'm still kinda new to all this so I'm yet to break my duck in terms of going to a club), for regular clubs most of the stuff in the centre is pretty standard, not my cup of tea personally as I don't really wanna go out and hear the same stuff that gets played on Radio 1... Pink Punters (LGBT place, in case you hadn't guessed) is in Fenny Stratford, about 10min drive from the centre, that's supposed to be a good night (again, not been, but this time out of sheer lazy old-fartedness) or if it's the 20th you're turning up on then Huey Morgan of the Fun Loving Criminals and Radio 6 Music is doing a set at MK11 in Kiln Farm, which is a 5-10min drive from the centre. Pubs wise, Milton Keynes is very homogenous...for years it's basically been "You can go to Wetherspoons...OR Lloyds!!" (spoilt for choice, eh? ) however the hipster revolution is slowly making its way to our plastic town, and there's now a Brewdog pub in The Hub and a craft beer microbrewery place called Brewhouse & Kitchen up in the theatre district. I would personally avoid the whole Snowdome area if I were you, but it *is* the busiest part, so it depends what you're after...

But if it’s lifestyle you are after try LIBs or the VA all an easy drive away. Enjoy what this little much derided corner of the world has to offer. Always something going on here vanilla wise.
