Wink can be good to test a reaction. If none then saves messaging. Don’t see point in winking then not replying to a message

"Maybe they didn't mean to ."

In that case they should say it was a mistake instead of saying were not there type.

Definitely too many winkers on here... Be nice if people made a bit of effort after all they want to have sex with you!

Maybe they didn't want to admit a mistake and thought they'd better say you wernt their type in case you took it further.

Or maybe just ask them.

Or maybe (as is often the case) one half of the couple sent the wink then the other half saw the message and you didn't agree with the wink having been sent or didn't know about the wink.

Or any number of other reasons that aren't worth worrying about - you can over think things too much sometimes

I wink people, some wink back, some don't. Quite a good marker as if it message or not. Unless stated that they ignore winks in the profile.

Could it have been something in your reply? First messages have put us off before now.

Different people have different ways and preferences when it come to attracting attention on Fab. It might be the way they write their profile, the number of pics they put up for fabbing, the wink method...whatever.

Who are we to judge. If you don’t like the wink method and you come across it, then move on.

We gave up responding to winks months ago. We get a wink so we used to compose a nice message back telling them a bit about us and 99% of the time nothing back. Just the other day we messaged someone who caught our eye. We then noticed after we had messaged they had winked us hours prior. Guess what happened next?? Our message was deleted and no response. We don't even look at the winks we receive now. A complete waste of time. If we see a profile that catches our eye and what they have wrote in their profile matches what we are looking for we think a nice message is far better.

We thought winks were used as a traffic light system if you give a wink it’s orange meaning hold off on message if you get one in reply that’s the green light both sides have an interest to chat? Could be wrong but that’s how we try and use it.

I think we’ve only sent 2 messages on here without previous interaction and that was just to compliment their written section.

We prefer winking to straight out messages, find it doesn’t infringe there space if they want to look, feel free the wink back just says it okay to drop a line.

I don't mind winks - if I like them I'll wink back. Up to them to message then though.

Odd to turn you down after a wink though - unless your message or any attached pics led to them deciding you weren't for them after all?

I don't think there enough winkers! Personally I have put alot of effort into messaging people politely after reading their profiles thoroughly! But sometimes they don't even get read, so what's the point!

I now wink, if I get a wink back then I will message otherwise I won't waste my time!
