1999..
it was a simpler time in the swinging world. Only serious couples could really afford the Internet, smart phones didn’t exist and free swinging sites were extremely rare. We started out on a site called Swing2us. A free site run by swingers. We met some amazing people on there and still remain friends today.
But everything as changed.. Free sites, easy access to the Internet, smart phones that makes all this easily accessible. Therefore giving easy access to what was once an exclusive area for serious fun goers. These days it’s a minefield of fake profiles, single males pretending to be women and very young people who think this lifestyle is a way of getting a quick shag. (must say not all are like this, but people that are, give a bad name to the genuine folk out there).
There must be other genuine swingers out there who still remember.... The good old days.

We started out on another site SH many Uears ago and it did feel like there were more genuine people on there at the time?
Maybe it was a good call about the Smart Phones & easier access?? |

I remember Swing2us, was on there myself - Dirty-David's was another early one...
....they're still going, I think, but along with some others have become part of of commercialised networks more interested in making money than bringing genuine people together...  |

The swinging scene is changing, it’s becoming more mainstream and accessible, this is borne out by the ease of setting up a profile here, yes this has negatives (fakes etc) but also has positives too.
The worse side of this is the club party night scene which in some cases has dumbed down to a bunch of people thinking it’s all cool and trendy with a DJ and the latest tunes, dancing the night away and at best having a fumble late at night or just showing off and playing with their partner, that’s not swinging btw, it’s not snobbery on our part, just an observation |
