In an interesting turn of events, I have found myself recently blocked by a couple who I was otherwise getting along swimmingly with (even organising a meet this Friday). The reason? because this morning I found out that I would be working that evening, messaged them this afternoon to notify them and even offered to re-arrange for another evening.
So my question.. do people really believe other users do not have lives away from this website? Or are there just that many time-wasters on here that means genuine issues like mine get treated with the same disdain? |

basically youve let them down
they were probably looking forward toit
might of arranged kids sleepover or babysitter
you should have said from the start its a 50/50 meet as i get called in to work nights , which does sound a bit of a fib , most of us know our shift pattern.
i would have probably told work ive made plans so cant . |

I tend to lose interest in guys whose working hours can be changed within the same week. Makes them an unreliable bet for a meet. Whose to say it wont happen next time. My time is too precious and there are far more ( hundreds) of blokes to women / couples so I choose to be picky with whom I arrange to meet
Shame but Im not a charity - Im here for my pleasure
Its one of the reasons I meet first time at clubs |

I would never put fab above real life. Fab will always be there, upsetting friends, your family or boss is just not worth it.
You did the right thing OP, it's their loss. |

Sadly telling the Army you have made plans doesn't work.

A lot of guys cancel at the last min so its not a surprise they took the hump. You did all you could and maybe they believed maybe not maybe they had organised baby sitters who knows by the sounds if it you can do no more so take it on the chin and move on. |

We understand "reality" comes first but if you have just given them a few days notice without giving prior notice that work is demanding at the moment, I can see why they have blocked you.
Arranging two lives as a couple around a guy is always hardwork, plus we always book the hotel, its not fair when your losing financially due to no shows or unreliable people.
Obviously I don't know the circumstances here, I'm just talking from our point of view |
