I don't see the problem it dosn't say in the site rules you have to thank everyone all the time. People really don't have the time to run round thanking everyone all the time. |

Were they looking for a quiet spot for themselves or to meet someone?
If just for themselves, why would they reply with thx but no thx? Inless you were offering to meet them.
Either way i guess, no one owes you a reply. So yes your wrong to be pissed.

Did you offer to be helpful or offer to get a thanks. ?
Or maybe they deleted email by accident and can’t reply. Certainly done that in the past. |

"Personally I feel that if you ask a question and someone offers an answer a simple "thanks" isn't too much to ask.
I don't think you're wrong to feel miffed but don't dwell on it "
If it’s someone being helpful and not just looking to see how they can change your situation to include themselves, I usually reply with a thank you but then a conversation starts which isn’t always something I’m looking for, it’s like being in a rock and a hard place, I want to be polite but too many seem to think as soon as dialogue is open, sex will soon happen |

So don’t ask a question if you don’t want to have to field answers....? |

There and to the left a bit |
Mountains and molehills spring to mind - yes it's frustrating to not be thanked but I'm not sure it would frustrate me enough to start a forum thread about it either.
Maybe they read it, meant to reply and forgot. Maybe they read it, thought they'd try it out and thank you later once they had done so. Maybe they just don't have manners. Or maybe they were concerned that if they replied they'd potentially be asked to meet there and didn't want the awkwardness of having to say no.
Who knows? Either way I'd not let it cause you more than minor irritation OP |

Manners are few and far between on here. Some think they are too high and mighty to say the word thank you, some are just plain rude but there are still some decent people left who know how to be polite |

Social etiquette goes completely out the window on here, such as non replies, people just stop talking in the middle of conversations, rudeness etc etc
None of this behaviour is socially acceptable in the real world, but with the female/male/couple dynamic of fab it happens here, whatever reasons it’s unacceptable |

If you have them an “option” and it included inviting yourself then I can understand why the wouldn’t reply.
However if you were being genuinely helpful then a thanks wouldn’t go a miss.
As someone said, they could think bu saying thanks you might attempt to interest them into meeting you, so avoided it.
People talk of manners on here a lot but I’d guess most people were replying to most messages they got when they first joined and that went downhill the more abuse and pestering they received. In the real world you’d say thanks but no thanks and that person would likely get the hint... on the internet people think it’s okay to send multiple messages and pester you sometimes. So the two aren’t always comparable. |
