Cleaning a dirty iron

In my job I like to wear a crisp clean shirt...Sometimes a dirty iron ruins it. One tablespoon of water and 2 of baking soda mixed into a paste and smeared over the surface then swiped off cleaned it.... as new.... any other helpful tips out there?

What about when the iron sometimes spits what seems like dirty water?

Mix bakeing soda in to a thick paste with water , rub all over the inside of your oven leave it for a couple of hours if really dirty leave over night then take a cloth and remove the paste with viniger

Or hire those men that come in a van and leave it spotless in half an hour!

Takes you half an hour to do and you dont pay 50 pound for it , im a yorkshire lass im not paying that lol x
