Had it done a few years ago.
It didnt hurt at all, maybe the expectation of it hurting prepared me but had no pain at all.
After, it was 'uncomfortable' but not sore or painful. I made sure I wore the jock strap and tight boxers and was ok for work 3 days later (had the op on a Friday, back at work Monday)

Both my partners had vasectomies after we had kids. Never was as painful for them as everyone made out.
They were both advised against sex for a while but a bj each day eased them back into it gently!  |

Hubby had it done a few yrs ago,he was in and out of the clinic so quickly I had barely opened my magazine to read and I thought he'd changed his mind!
No real pain and recovery was really good  |

...... all I can say is that even though there was still stitches in place, and even a bit of bruising ... they had no problem coming with a gentle blow job and it gave them confidence to take things further.

Had mine done 20yrs ago now, and I too, still get a dull ache if I knock them accidently, but then again, doesn't it hurt if you bump your nuts if you haven't had it done either?

Had it done over 25 years ago. It was done in the morning and i had to go into work at 6 p.m. the same day to do a 15 hour shift ! Ya fecking wimps  lol... never regretted it though.

I spent £500 and got it done privately in a clinic in Darlington. No stitches and over in 5 minutes, Elle even looked over the octors shoulder whilst it was getting done.
No pain afterwards - very easy. |

When I worked on the Male Surgical ward in my training, we had the day surgery vasectomies.
On discharge, they were given three specimen pots, to make sure it had worked, with the guys looking at them a bit quizzically !
The girl I was working with said, not quietly, "It was so funny watching my hubbie try and get his into the pot !"

Had it done 20 years ago, very little pain like going to the dentist really, was advised to have sex at least once every night until sample was tested to show 0 sperm count....managed to keep that one going for about 6 months
Go for it if you have enough kids! |

Been considering this myself, for no other reason than contraception reassurance.
Condom failure, when no other contraception is being used, has led to some stressful times lol.
All the advice i have been given in consultations has been completely reassuring. Just follow aftercare advice. |

Mr had it done about 4 years ago after chickening out twice before.
He said the actual operation wasn't painful it was just more uncomfortable and he could just feel a slight pulling.
He was a bit swollen and bruised for a few days after but it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.

Time to throw a horror story in!!!
Long story short, on my back on the table, surgeon chatting away as he sticks the needle in with the local aneasthetic, no problems so far.... bit more chat whilst it takes effect, the surgeon seems to be a little distracted, but hey ho, here we go, scalpel approaches nuts.....
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!
He only missed the fekking area where he'd jabbed...... holymotheroffuckinggodthatsmarts!!!
I screamed, he screamed, the nurse screamed... he asks what the problem is... and then tells me to "man up"!!!
My reply was a bit full of explectives, but basically went along the lines of "I'll stick a razor sharp knife in your bollocks and see how manly you are!!"
Other than that, all went well lol! |

My mate got an infection and his bollocks went black and swollen, and looked like space hoppers.
He was black with bruising from his belly button to his knees and he had to wear the baggiest trousers her could find.
Poor fucker ended up walking like John Wayne for about 6 months.
We still chuckle about it whenever we meet.

Back to work Saturday morning, albeit walking like John Wayne after a long day on the horse.
Healed beautifully.
A small sperm granuloma formed about six months afterwards - completely painless and harmless, but it gave the doc an excuse for another rummage downstairs...
No regrets, and every time another brown envelope from the CSA drops through the door that feeling gets stronger... |

had my balls chopped on the 8th of december. talked to the doctor a week before i had them done. was nerves when i got there had two locals in my left and three in the right as that one was still pain full but nothing to it. the after pains for me were just around the pubic bone as if you had been kicked in the nutts but not as painfull just a dull ach which last about 3-4 days. had sex on friday took it nice and slow the next day had a liitle pain but nothing bad but wouldnt advise fucking hard hope this helps. |

Had a vasectomy at 25. Done under local anaesthetic, with a single cut in the middle. It felt like my two testis had been tied together for a couple of days and sex was a bit interesting for a couple of weeks after that. The only embarrassing bit was having a trainee doctor do the job she didn't know quite what was what .. and she was HOT. She pulled a bit hard a something that hurt. Was back at work the next day, never any regrets. |

My hubby had it done 25 years ago as we had one child and didnt want anymore. He worked on nights then, he came home and had a sleep on the settee then went to work as usual. He was more frightened of going to the dentist than having the snip. |

steve had one before i met him then he had it reversed so we could have kids(we had sam) then he had it done again, god a glutton for punishment but he went in had it done and then come home and finnished tileing kitchen |
