I've worn Dunhill in one form or another for over 30 years. Currently wearing Icon.
For evenings Zen by Shiseido and seriously thinking about investing in the wonderfully named 'Eight plus Bob' (if it worked for JFK then it's worth a go!) |

Creed Sublime Vanilla is fantastic.
Really don’t see what all the fuss is about Aventus, just smells ‘generic’ to me.
At the moment I tend to either wear Spicebomb or Tom Ford Black Orchid.
Still like the old go-to Joop and Joop Wow is also really nice.

Reading the thread reminds me of all the ones I have worn in the past.
Kouros in my teens, Fahrenheit in my 20’s to Joop in my 30’s.
Wore many others in between too. Must have spent thousands over the years in scents lol
My current faves are:
Daytime: L’eau D’Issey pour home
Nighttime: Hermes D’Terre

"God I hope this doesn’t turn into another creed wankfest, just cos it’s expensive doesn’t make it good!
I agree, nice, but not worth that much. "
It is amazing regardless of price .... the woman’s is a complete waste of money. Smells lovely but lasts about 3 minutes. I wanted to smell like heaven for a full night but sadly disappointed!!

Mine are very boring, very old school and both from Crabtree & Evelyn.
West Indian Lime in the Spring and Summer
Sandalwood in the Autumn and Winter.
Does anyone else change their cologne or perfume with the seasons? |

That might be down to your skin type - I find that a lot of scents just go soapy on me after an hour or two which is why I either choose very old basic traditional scents like Floris make or I go for the ultra modern Comme des Garçons range. Horses for courses as they say |

I notice not a single woman has mentioned ‘Tom Ford’ yet. A lady in Debonhams demonstrated it to me a couple of weeks ago telling me that a lot of the Celebs and film stars use it......Fucking hell, it smelt like something an old Colonel would wear, it had the air or whisky, old uniforms, velvet slippers and pipes about it.... |

That actually piques my interest... will have to check it out |

Currently I'm all Summery scents so Clinique Happy for Men during the day, Dior Eau Savauge EDT (the original, not the Johnny Depp one) as general use, and at night Invictus.
If your a creed fan, hit France £150 for 100ml of Aventus, some of the shops have the whole set. I bought OV when I was there, didn't really dig Aventus at the time, maybe try it again. |

Interesting you didn't say Tom Fords Oud (I didn't like it) is JM Oud better ?
GV is nice, you should try Creed OV, both really good.
"Tom Ford (original) or Grey Vetiver; or Jo Malone Oud and Bergamot/Basil and Neroli. All nice...IMO"

"Can't believe nobody has said my favourite yet.
Eternity for men... classic and it smells amazing "
Love it! And L'Eau d'Issey. My two favourites. Paco is nice too, the newer, lighter one and of course Cool Water, if you aren't doing anything special |
