It seems this happens more often than I would care to like or admit. I have met singles and couples who have had single guys, women etc. not make an appearance when they have arranged to meet somewhere. Then to add insult to injury they don't even have the decency to contact them and tell them they're not going to appear.
It's happened to me twice in the past(thankfully not as many times as others I'm lucky enough to to say) although the second time the girl I was meeting had a very good reason and we did eventually meet up. What irks me is when those who are so inconsiderate as to not being able to be bothered to show up do it again and again. It means others who don't show but have good reason are effected as a result because those who are stood up get fed up with it! Some people even leave swinging sites or stop meeting singles for instance because of this!
I can't really blame them to be fair. It can be hurtful and frustrating. Especially considering they're taking up their own personal free time from work etc. to meet people! Why can't some people be less selfish! Fair enough if they have a good reason. I know I have in the past and I don't want to sound like a saint because I'm not. But it just takes a bit of common decency to at least try to contact the person unless something really serious has happened which meant they got caught up with the severity of the situation! Is it too much to ask?! |

So If you have honest suspicions report them as no shows. Obviously if you believe they are being truthful fair enough. Otherwise report to admin. |

Wow!
Forgive me if I'm talking out of turn here but it sounds like someone is attaching a HUGE emotional investment to their meets.
You need to be a little more Taoist in your approach - focus on the perfecting the process rather than obsessing over the result of "that one girl, that one couple, that one meet" etc.
The Tau of Tobleton (but I nicked it from someone else):
Be Desireless
Be Excellent
Be Gone
You have too much desire - let it go. |
